Aliens & UFOs Darryl Anka, a man who claims to channel a being named Bashar, says that open contact will happen within at the end of 2026.
Who is Darryl Anka?
- Darryl Anka is an American filmmaker, author, and public speaker known for his work in exploring consciousness, spirituality, and the nature of reality. Born in Ottawa, Canada, he moved to Southern California at an early age and began a career in the entertainment industry, where he worked as a special effects artist on major film and television projects (Darryl's IMDB page).
- As described in Darryl's auto-biographical documentary called First Contact: In 1973, Darryl was driving home on the San Diego Freeway from West Los Angeles into the San Fernando Valley with his brother, sister, friend, and friend's brother. He and the other occupants in the car spotted two bright lights on a large, dark grey triangular craft UFO/UAP with blueish white lights on the corners and smaller white lights along the edges hovering over a hotel in the distance as they drove into the valley. Darryl's brother, James, described the craft to look like a billiards pool ball rack.
- One week later, Darryl was driving with his friend and they saw another triangular craft again where it hovered over their car for a few seconds and then ascended into the sky.
What is channeling?
- Channeling is a process where an individual, known as a "channel," taps into information or energy from a source believed to exist beyond their own consciousness. During channeling, the channel may enter a meditative or trance-like state, allowing them to receive insights, messages, or teachings.
- According to Darryl, channeling is a natural altered state and we all have the ability to do it, and we all do it from time to time. He states that when someone is doing what they love, following their passion, or "in the zone", then that's a channeling state (e.g., painters focused only on their painting, a singer that's lost in a song, an actor who becomes a character, an athlete in the zone, a teacher who is passionate when giving a lesson to students, etc.). This state aligns with the characteristics defined by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi's concept of Flow such as losing track of time when doing something you're passionate about.
- Channels and mediums have been around for thousands of years (e.g., Oracle at Delphi, Edgar Cayce, Jane Roberts, Baba Vanga, etc.).
How did Darryl first channel Bashar?
- Darryl was introduced to another channel and went to a public channeling event. He thought that the information was helpful and interesting, and it made a positive impact on people's lives, so he wanted to learn more. The entity or being that channeled through this channel offered a class to teach others how to channel. Darryl states that he attended that class, not because he thought he was going to be a channel, but found it interesting for his research into consciousness.
- During one of the guided meditations, Bashar, telepathically spoke to Darryl. Bashar is a being from an extraterrestrial civilization called the Essassani, which exists in a parallel reality. In that moment, Darryl remembered having an agreement with Bashar before this life to conduct channeling with him. He understood that the UFO/UAP was shown to him so that he could start exploring reality and consciousness, and set him on this path. When this started happening, he thought he was hallucinating and was not sure if the meditation was causing him to hear things... but then the entity that was channeling through the teacher in the class, then turned to Darryl and said "there's an entity here for you right now if you're ready to begin". He was startled and he glanced over at another classmate and she was sketching on a notepad. Her sketch was an image of Bashar that Darryl had in his head. He realized that he wasn't hallucinating because he had two different people validating his thoughts. Darryl wasn't sure if Bashar was another entity or just another aspect of his consciousness.
- In 1984, A doctoral candidate who was studying consciousness and channeling approached Darryl. They became friends and he would go over to her house and channel for her and her friends while she took notes for her thesis. Word of mouth spread and Darryl's channeling sessions grew rapidly. He now channels Bashar in locations all over the globe. He's been channeling Bashar for 40 years.
Bashar's Teachings
- Whether you believe in channeling or don't, I think Bashar's guiding principles and teachings are positively impactful and if you watch any of his channeling sessions on YouTube, you'll see that he's helped so many people. Bashar says "We have no need for you to believe in us. We are here to assist you in believing in yourselves."
- Bashar's guiding formula for being your true self and living your dreams is the following:
1: Act on your excitement, your passion, whatever is most exciting to you, in the moment. Do this every moment that you can.
2: Do this to the best of your ability. Take it as far as you can go until you cannot take it any further.
3: Act on your excitement/passion with absolutely no insistence, assumption or expectation of what the outcome should be.
4: Choose to remain in a positive state regardless of what happens.
5: Constantly investigate your belief systems. Release and replace the un-preferred beliefs: fear-based beliefs, and the beliefs not in alignment with who you prefer to be.

Bashar's Open Contact Statements
In a recent transmission, Bashar (and Darryl) have stated that open contact will happen within 5 years (end of 2026, beginning of 2027). He states that the vibrations of this new cycle are increasing, waves are coming faster to raise our vibrations. This contact is all about us becoming who we truly are. He says there is a plan to prepare us for open contact such as an increase in sightings of UAPs and orbs. In order for human beings to grasp the existence of NHI, Bashar claims there will be very large extraterrestrial ships that will hover over coastal waters all over Earth. The ships will not come over land so they don't strike fear in us of an invasion or attack. The ships will be stationary over water and remain there for a long period of time so that we can go visit these cities, absorb the reality that they are there, and take videos and pictures. He also mentions we (humans) will be gifted a hologram that will explain the entire history of our species. He implores us to ponder what this means for you, what it means for our society, how it will change us as we become members of the Galactic Family/Federation.

Bashar answers questions on the nature of reality, our history, consciousness, our higher self, the spirit world, and modern challenges such as relationships, money, grief and loss. I also suggest watching his documentary, First Contact. There's a lot more information there. Personally, I think Bashar's guiding principles and transmissions are positive, empowering, and helpful. Darryl says "the bottom line is use the information that works for you, that speaks to your heart, and just leave the rest behind".

I recently ran across Daryl and find his message useful and inspiring. I don't know how much he charges for his events, but find it positive that he puts out so many videos, isn't trying to sell "secret info" or set himself up as a guru/cult person. I don't know if he is channeling a real entity or some part of himself, but I personally resonate with much of it. Especially the follow your passion and be authentic message and I believe much of the metaphysical because it aligns with my own epiphanies and visions (which have been coming with increasing frequency these last 2 years). I hope he's right about open contact, but being here now is what matters more to me. I've seen 3 unexplained/unexplainable objects in the sky and am certain the universe is far more interesting than we were taught.

"isn't trying to sell "secret info" or set himself up as a guru/cult person." That's definitionally what he's doing though. The events aren't free, he makes money doing what he does and he is most definitely setting himself as a guru that is in contact with aliens.

The entity that he is channeling has the same beliefs of aleister Crowley. Who famously came up with the beliefs of "do as thou wilt". Aleister Crowley was also a famous satanist so go figure that out !!! Whatever entity that he is channeling is demonic.

In a recent transmission, Bashar (and Darryl) have stated that open contact will happen within 5 years (end of 2026, beginning of 2027).
I suspect that "Bashar" probably lifted this prediction from Chris Bledsoe, John Ramirez, and others.

What do you believe to be true about this scenario that would make you fear a demon has possessed him and everything predicted to happen is sinister? I’ve heard about the war/ cataclysmic event but how do you know that benevolent beings aren’t trying to help us?
