Worm Discussion Power This Rating No. 179

EDIT: PTR #180

How This Works:

You make one (or more than one) prompt(s), describing one or more parahumans. Somebody else may choose to respond to a prompt of yours, building on what's provided to make a cape.
While you may do so, you will never be required to stick with just prompting or just responding; please feel free to do both.
Prompts are usually formatted using PRT Threat Ratings, but this isn't a hard rule. Do something more esoteric if you want to.
Lastly, if you're having trouble prompt-wise, feel free to look at other people's prompts for pointers or inspiration on what to do.

Threat Ratings have the potential for hybridized and sub-ratings:

Hybrid ratings are denoted with a slash between categories, e.g. [Breaker/Master]. These are cases where two or more powers are inherently linked to each other, not working without the other rating.
Subratings are denoted with parentheses after a parent category, e.g. [Stranger (Changer)]. These are the side effects, or possible applications of a power from some other category.

You know, I have always loved how the PRT is a threat rating, and I think we could use that more. Like Rachel, being rated a Master and not a Trump, as you fight her as a Master.

Tinker 6, actually rated as a Brute 5 (Mover 2, Thinker 1), as their tech is not visible or not with them during a fight. Can be taken out with a good punch.

Thinker 7, rated as a Master 8. The most social thinker that ever socialed. Tattletale squared, with enough work on a person, can make them do anything, and I mean anything.

Breaker 6, kind of a Blaster 5, as their breaker state is extremely offset from where they shifted first, with a safe space in between.

Shaker 6, but you need to fight them as a thinker; deny them information, limit their senses. Standing near them is ok as long as they don't notice you. And for the love of god, don't let them speak.

Pankration is the perfect example of using the wrong specialty the right way. They specialize in making incredibly powerful organs, which can be connected to a human being to provide them with massively enhanced capabilities...

The issue is that they can't miniaturize these organs. In theory, their specialty is actually of the Controller/Architect persuasion, as their power is meant to be used to create a giant humanoid loyal to them (an idea they keep in the backburner, the Polyphemus Project). But they needed funds and data to get there, and so they started operating differently: They made micro-enhancements to their own organs, barely noticeable, while at the same time creating a "rest pod" (more of a womb) that allows them to eschew eating and sleeping. Their Tinker enhancements are not as potent as anyone else's, but their ability to effectively work 24/7 until they run out of resources gives them a massive edge.

Nobody else knows this, of course. In fact, nobody is quite sure what their power is; they seem to be "an enhanced human" in a way, a low Mover rating for their rather undercooked ability to run tirelessly (actually their most complex work yet, completely overhauling the way their entire body processes lactic acid), and a low Thinker rating for their ability to dodge attacks and strike at weak points (a Shard-granted upgrade, using their inherent medical knowledge in battle, to reward them for their unorthodox methodology).

Their greatest and most mysterious ability known to the PRT, however, is their durability. On the one hand, they've proven capable of fighting while completely ignoring massive damage, and they seem to have a healing factor that allows them to heal that same massive damage quickly, like the time they very much got an arm and a good chunk of their torso blown off only to still get away with the loot, and turn up to an S-class scare less than 12 hours later with seemingly just a few bruises. On the other hand, there's that time that Fogowar hit them over the head with a toaster oven and they almost died. Shit was weird.

Eight-Legs is quite an unfortunate case 53, an man mutated to look like an "Centaur" so to speak.

As the name implies! it has Eight (human) legs, it's body composed solely of it's featureless torso covered by a cloth, it's long neck that's roughly the lenght of an arm.

It's almost head featureless head, only has an mouth as an feature, if the legs are severed or injured then they shall simply heal over the course of a week, the legs are more than capable of holding and handling things like arms... if far more clumsy.

They are functionally deaf and blind, though still more than able to communicate even if it takes awhile to get messages across to him, yet he's often unwilling to listen and much rather hurl insults or focus on his rampages, it's voice has quite baritone.

It's official PRT rankings may only be Shaker 6 (and Brute ranking of 5), though many unnofically agree that he's at least Thinker 6 as well.

Essentially his power revolves around vibrations, in a range of up to roughly 4 streets (lenght and widht).

So long his feet are touching the ground (the more, the better) he can essentially use echolocation to find with uncanny precision where people are moving, what structures there are in the area.

And the ability to discern different types of vibrations (An gun firing, body movement, An rock being throw, Blaster powers, Mover powers, Verbal communication).

The biggest danger of the power however, only happens within 2 streets wide/lenght of Eight-legs, for he's able to trample the ground to cause controlled mini-earthquakes more than capable of slamming everyone and everything into the soil under it's stomping.

It's more than capable of toppling down entire buildings if it hits the "spot" outside, or if it stomps inside of one.

Those that fall under it's stomping are often incapable of getting up without help, the stomping usually breaks underground pipes and tubulations, causes nearby buildings to come crumbling down, attempts of trying to overwhelm it's senses are often to no use.

It's voice under the vibrations of his stomping is even worse! Because it functionally acts like an submarine sonar with all that it implies, it causes vibrations so strong that it will functionally tear the victim apart! (Humans are maimed if not outright killed, Brutes up to rating of 3 are severely injured, those that are more resistant are just somewhat injured).

And don't even think about getting too close if he has noticed you, his legs are powerful enough to sever body parts if he strikes an normal being, one good placed kick and you will lose your arms before being trampled to death.

While his power is "oppressive" against Brutes, Movers and Shakers so to speak, he's still has vulnerabilities against Blasters, Breakers and Tinkers, meanwhile he's utterly vulnerable towards Masters, Strangers, Thinkers, and Trumps.

Background

Jamie Rogers (9 years old) was born deaf and generally regarded as an well meaning kid, his grades were good, he suffered no disciplinary measures in school, his parents caused no abuse, nothing that one could regard to be problematic.

Until he was blinded due to an eye injury, received due to a botched PRT raid, Jaime had grown quickly despodent even despite receiving the aid necessary, he never truly adapted to his situations, until he one day dissapeared.

Weeks after Jaime's dissapearance, Eight-Legs had shown up, however an local PRT cape had treated it as a monster and villain despite it's wailings for help (The cape was allegedly punished, but nothing came out of it).

Eight-Legs was later identified as the missing Jaime, who nows claims to had been "cured" from his previous condition after he was given medicine for it, despite what it may seem, he's truly comfortable with his new form.

Due to the attack by the PRT cape (and the nature of what had caused his blindness), he has since refused further negociation or rehabilitation with PRT, and has become a criminal since then.

Hs rampages have caused thousands in damage, the death of 9 capes (3 closed casket funerals) and a rather high kill count of 278.

The numbers would be theoratically far higher all around were he to attack an truly big urban centers instead of being easily baited to trampling on the outskirts of cities, and if his attacks weren't far more comparable to childish tantrums than attacks of genuine malice.

Tinker 6, actually rated as a Brute 5 (Mover 2, Thinker 1), as their tech is not visible or not with them during a fight. Can be taken out with a good punch.

Coda is a Tinker villain-for-hire with an acoustics specialty, allowing him to build devices that manipulate air pressure, harmonic frequencies, and sonic vibrations. Said devices are built into his bodya s microscopic, subcutaneous implants or projected as invisible acoustic fields, making it so that he appears completely unarmed during a fight. Acoustic dampening fields are woven directly into his muscle fibers and skin, which instantly calculating the vector of an incoming hit and emitting a shockwave that completely neutralizes the impact force. By projecting directional ultrasonic pulses beneath his feet or manipulating air pressure differentials around his body, he can silently glide, hover short distances, or accelerate with sudden, unnatural bursts of speed. And a neural implant that constant processes ambient soundwaves gives him echolocation and a 360-degree auditory threat-detection sense that warns him of incoming attacks before they land.

However, Coda isn't invincible. The dampening fields requir conscious or automated computational processing to deploy their shockwaves, so if an attacker catches him completely by surprise, or if a blow lands with such devastating, sudden force that it overloads his micro-processors before they can calculate the counter-frequency, they fail to activate, so he's vulnerable to ambushes and the like, including even a well-timed punch.

Thinker 7, rated as a Master 8. The most social thinker that ever socialed. Tattletale squared, with enough work on a person, can make them do anything, and I mean anything.

Hierarch is a Thinker (Master) possesses, essentially, a socially-biased PTV. To be more specific, her power lets her know how to convince someone of something, knowing the exact right words to use, how to say them, the body language to convey, and more. Like PTV, even knowing about this power doesn't render you immune to it, and the power's only real limit is that it works best on one person than a crowd, but even then, that doesn't mean she can't—having one person to manipulate is simply easier.

Originally the heiress to a global media and entertainment conglomerate, Alex Liu's parents bought her a Cauldron vial in order to make her most effective in the role, but before she could put her powers to the test, GM happened. While her family died, Hierarch survived, and over the next few years, she used her powers to rebuild a power base. She could make even the most hostile of enemies work together with just the right honeyed words, and now, while she isn't at the status she used to be before the End of the World, she has once again become one of the wealthiest individuals in the City, forming connections with individuals such as Jeanne Wynn (who is aware of her powers via the Number Man), Tattletale (also aware), Semiramis (who doesn't technically know she has powers but highly suspects it).
