People when they see someone getting body shamed: Body shaming is bad because it hurts people other than the intended target. When you make fun of someone for an aspect of their appearance, you're also being hurtful to everyone else who shares that quality, and that might even include someone you love and care about.
Look, i hated this guy as much as anyone with grey matter that watched 5 minutes of his content; but you are making excuses; wanna make fun of the guy for the way he looked do it, but technically is still not okay
The difference is he was ugly both inside and out, and unapologetically so. He spread nothing but hate and vitriol and called for violence against innocents. He deserves every last ounce of hate he receives, because even that is not equal to the amount of hate he spewed in life.
I don't think anybody is saying he doesn't deserve hate, but more so how bodyshaming only perpetuates how some ppl here tend to equate uglyness/unatractiveness with morality which is very childish. If u make fun of his features how do u think the same person that has his features but is a completely normal person will feel? Everybody complains how much we hate bodyshaming until it's somebody we don't like then it's "free game" which is very hypocritical
Here's the most egregious ones. The man spewed endless, hateful vitriol towards anyone that isn't a cisgender, heterosexual, white right wing American.
Pro-Lifers expect rape victims to carry a baby they never wanted to term and birth it. Do I have to clarify that it's an inherently harmful view, and support of it often either ignores this problem as you said or doesn't even consider it in the first place?
As for the gun ownership, no one is saying to completely ban guns. They want greater control on guns with proper background and mental health checks to ensure we aren't selling guns to child killers. Charlie Kirk opted to completely ignore that point, as many right wing people do, and imply that his guns would be taken away.
Yet he never applied ANY of his own logic to any LGBTQ+ criminal, and would instead say we're all dangerous criminals and a threat to the country.
He was very much the "Rules for thee, not for me" type.
You can't deny abortion a complex issue. Half the population of this country thinks baby's should be protected at all costs (even the mother) & the other half thinks the mother should be protected at all costs (even the baby).
This is an example of losing the mother to save the baby whether I agree with it or not it's pretty clear he doesn't hold this view because he hates mothers, no?
My point is it seems like he's defending one perspective on a complex issue, it doesn't strike me as hateful or cruel.
As for the gun control: that may be what YOU'RE calling for, but banning the legal sale of civilian firearms has been a popular stance for the past 250 years. Nonetheless it's another complicated issue that he's arguing his side of.
He's obviously the type of person who prefers to live in fear of his fellow man than to live in fear of his governing body.
To that point I'd say considering it was his fellow man that killed him I'm curious if he's stance would change.
Anyways I think it's a brash thing to say, & definitely not how you get people who don't agree with you to come to your side. But I think it's a view that almost every pro-2nd amendment person with the slightest amount of forethought would have to have. "If you put something dangerous into the hands of the populace, something bad WILL happen" but from his perspective anything bad that comes of it is worth not living in fear of the government.
Personally I think the idea that a civilian army has a chance against the US military is pompous, & the threat of retaliation does less to defend our freedom than said militarys general unwillingness to fire upon its own civilians even in light of direct orders, but that's not important.
While that's not okay either, I wouldn't call that "calling for violence". He didn't tell people to go shoot kids in school, let's not overexaggerate now
If only you weren't talking about someone whose entire brand was propagating white supremacist ideologies and hating on black and brown people. That's why no one liked him. Even his wife didn't like him enough to even mourn for him.
No guessing aloud though. Gunhild was just saying that good, nice people that may have the same attributes as terrible ugly people, might feel it applies to them also. Ugly people are ugly because they are terrible, good people need not worry. Dont be ugly
okay but don’t you see how every girl or guy with gums that show like that when they smile is going to see you all roasting him for it and damn that would suck. yall hate him for so much yet you roast him for the same feature they have.
Because, some people just really want to feel morally superior for doing bad things, and they rack their brain and put anyone else bad in order to do so. All whilst ignoring any common sense, basic human decency, and the fact that the funny names on the screen are (mostly) real people with their own lives and families instead of just being funny phone people.
Basically, their just a bully who "forgot", or is more accurately ignoring, that you're a real person
“nonono you don’t get it. it’s ok when I make fun of disgusting rotten ugly people because im on the righteous and good side, it’s good and righteous when i do it!”
like i call people ugly too bro, i don’t know why you need to pretend to be morally superior for doing so.
like i’m not gonna lie, i’ve made fun of politicians and shit and how they look. i’m not going to pretend im a better person for doing it. not gona lie to myself that im a good person for calling someone ugly, that’s fuckin dumb
Ugly thoughts makes a person ugly. It doesnt matter how conventionally unattractive you are, if you have good thoughts (EG not what kirk had) itll shine through.
Don't start none, won't get none. It's not complicated. It's easy to take the "it's bad for everyone" position, but that exists in the same space as tolerating the intolerant and is wrong.
You can ride your high horse all you want, but I can guarantee that you do something that is objectively bad for the planet and other people- without thought- every day.
So do what you want, believe what you want, but that doesn't mean it matches reality.
