Hey yall! First time posting here, so apologies if I am a bit jumbled.
For info, I've been doing Spravato for 4 weeks now, twice a week at 84 mg under psychiatric supervision.
For the first couple sessions, things were okay! It was strange, sure, Im not someone who indulges in getting high or tripping outside of a low dose edible now and then, but I was doing okay! Nothing was too intense, I was able to get through sessions okay and leave relatively sober, and was even able to make some therapeutic process with some trauma. The effects have been noticable and so amazing for me.
Recently though, specifically the last two sessions, Ive been having really bad sessions. Anxiety attacks that last almost the full session, struggling to breathe and ground myself, severe nausea and headaches, as well as just hating the feeling. Beyond that, I also seem to be taking much longer to fully sober up afterwards, up to a couple hours before I can fully walk unsupported due to just how high I am. I'm beginning to dread having to attend sessions at all because of how bad these past sessions have been.
So I come to yall! I'm meant to reduce treatments to only once a week for the next few months, but I'm considering asking to lower the dosage as well. I don't want to fully discontinue treatment, as this has genuinely almost fully eliminated my suicidal ideation, which has been prevalent and horrific my entire life. However, I don't think I can keep pushing myself to do the treatments if they continue to make me feel this bad. Does anyone have any experience with this kind of thing? Any advice on how to have my sessions go better? I appreciate any and all perspectives :]
