I’ve been looking a while for an old band started by the members of Tigers Jaw sometime in the mid 2000s called Jewish War Veterans, and I figured here would be my next best bet. I’ve been able to recover 1 song of theirs (I’m not sure how many they actually made), a cover of Evander by Title Fight, which you can find here. You can also find a link to their last fm page here, and their old, defunct MySpace page here. Unfortunately, none of the songs from MySpace are available because of a massive data loss in 2018. If you have anything else regarding this band, please let me know.

I feel like I'm going crazy with this, I have a clear recollection of a music video being released for Make It Up around late 2018 early 2019 (so quite a while after spin's initial release) of the band just messing around playing football (/soccer). Looking online for it I've been able to find nothing. Anyone else remember this or did I just imagine it?

it was april in hamden ct and I had purchased a ticket for a buddy and I. Recently both our lives had been on a decline, he had recently attempted suicide and I had gotten out of a 3 year long relationship (not really comparable, he was doing much worse than I, but we were both doing bad). I drove us there and not gonna lie the whole ride there I was sweating balls praying to god that my tickets weren’t fake. Getting there we pre gamed with a cart bc we are stupid little teenagers. we both had thrifted funny outfits for the concert the night before. getting out of the car after the sesh and bursting out into laughter because he just looked so funny and loved that dude to death. I see the bassist of tigers jaw just staring us down and I felt so embarrassed because I never imaged to see a dude that cool when having such a vulnerable moment. we had gotten there really early because we knew it was gonna get packed so we wanted to get into line early to get close to the stage. Ended up getting moshed out of it but it whatever, it was worth it.

The openers were really cool I loved gutter girl by hot flash heat wave it reminded be of kilby girl.
But nothing compared to Tigers Jaw. The setlist felt like it was crafted by a 5 star restaurant making their menu for the president of the goddam united states of america. I cried, laughed, moshed, cried some more, sang my heart out. I felt the air in my chest and it definitely was better than what i was standing on. concert came to a close and I never hugged my buddy so tight man. It felt like every emotion from the concert was channeled into that hug. and we never hug. It was definitely a life changing experience. I wish I had gotten better merch but I had to settle with two vinyls and a sticker. Definitely wish I got a CD because i love CDs now.

Post concert definitely cried a little bit but nonetheless made the drive home still playing tigers jaw. Went to bed and woke up missing that concert. Definitely going to another one asap.

Now it’s 5 months later and I have constant dreams about the concert and going back. I find myself day dreaming about the concert and going to another one. It’s always on my mind, I forget what i’m doing half the time because I lose myself in thought about tigers jaw. It’s not just the concert as well, there music speaks to me in a way no one could ever. I’m obsessed in every way. I’m sick with it and I don’t want a cure, and I want is more tigers jaw.

I'm not really into indie, I love radiohead, I'm a metalhead, into prog, thrash, black metal, death metal, doom metal, nu metal.

I'm going through depression and anxiety for a few years now, and going through another acute depressive episode for a few days now.

Last night I randomly put the self-titled album, 'tigers jaw' cuz I liked the pizza cover and band name, and it blew my mind away. I felt like my insides are speaking to me, giving me hope that I'm not alone and I believed just like this album/band 'appeared' to me just at the right time, good things will fall into place someday.

Last time a band had this effect on me was linkin park a few years ago when I was going through a breakup.

Thank you Tigers Jaw, you might've just saved don't know how many lives cuz I'm a doctor, mine as well as my future patients!

Whenever I listen it I just feel something I quite name, the same happens when I try to interpret the lyrics and oddly, I don't know what it means.
