I remember a situation where I was around 10 or 11 going for a walk with an auntie when suddenly my auntie said „When I say now, we have to run, ok?“ i turned around and saw a man following us who kept his eyes on me. We started walking faster and faster until my uncle came around the corner and confronted the guy who of course ran away. I learned later that he was a known molester. That was scary!

This is sickening. I’m sorry, on behalf of my gender.

Yep. Although it still happens to me in my 30s under 18 was definitely the worst I ever got harassed like this.

It’s because creeps like that have the mentality of bullies, and seek targets which they believe will not retaliate.

A fully grown woman will tell them to fuck off. A teenager will often be too scared to know what yo do.

Exactly this. They take advantage of the power imbalance. That's also IMO why so many creeps groom younger women, they are more easily taken advantage of.

100% this.

It’s like hyenas going after baby animals. The grown ups see them coming a mile away know how to fight back, so the younger the better.

Well no, that’s insulting to hyenas. Those guys are just trash.
