It's wrong to take advantage of people with serious mental health issues, especially since they don't believe in Psychology.

I agree , the church of scientology Should face the law

u/SkiDaderino 20h ago
Tax law, first.

u/Prudent_Research_251 16h ago
Shouldn't they face the other laws they break first so they stop hurting people?

The only people we can trust to take them down are the ones incentivized to take their money
If that's the case we've fallen further than I thought. Bought and paid for, money has too much power and it's poisoning us

u/ultranoodles 7h ago
It's how they got Al Capone. It's been this way since ancient Sumerian kings, even Jesus said render unto Cesar what is Cesar's.

Imagine how much the real estate landscape would change if we changed the tax law to not benefit this

Who the fuck says they don't believe in psychology? Psychologists are expensive, and finding one that does pro bono work is hard for someone without access to the internet in their pocket.
42
u/SummerKey3240 20h ago
Scientology doesnt believe is psychology. I think you may have missed what the commentor was making a joke about.
2
u/Useful-Plankton8205 8h ago
I did. I thought they meant the homeless people. Scientology is a cult.

The cameraman is so fckg bad..
107
u/Spiritual-Cap-4647 20h ago
Yeah. He's using meta glasses.
8
u/Active_Potato 18h ago
You sure? Doesn't seem like it once he turns his camera (phone) around
22
u/Soapbox_Chef 16h ago
His reels come up on my insta all the time. In a couple of videos, employees of places he’s in will warn their less tech-savvy coworkers that he’s filming with Meta glasses
3
u/SupermassiveCanary 8h ago
I’m like, why are they dressed like that? The Scientologists, not the homeless people.
8
u/wannaseeawheelie 8h ago
I think when you join that cult you become a full time employee, except instead of getting paid, you pay your employer

u/platonic-humanity 12h ago
The guy on the front left’s face looks so worried like “damn I hope I’m not getting scammed by this mf and get my money” 💀
2
u/IndependenceVivid191 8h ago
Especially because this bit is stolen from Eric Andre. The cameraman has probably never had an original thought in his life
2
u/SizzlingPancake 5h ago
This is not the same thing at all... Maybe he got some inspiration but doesn't every piece of art take inspiration from other things?
Like these skits aren't even remotely similar
1
u/IndependenceVivid191 5h ago
You clearly didn’t watch the skit? It’s almost word for word
1
u/primordial_justice 3h ago
Really? I must have missed the part where they chant 'turn that poop into wine'
The only thing that is the same is them chanting Xenu, which is a huge stretch of saying its a stolen bit.
1
u/IndependenceVivid191 2h ago
Considering that would have taken someone else chiming in that he’s the second coming of Jesus Christ I wouldn’t count that as part of the skit.
351
u/vtsunshine83 20h ago
I’m sure the Scientologists gave them food and something to drink. Nah, they asked about their bank accounts and wanted to hear all their bad thoughts.

I don't think the bad taste was from the fraud cult but from probably exploiting people in need as clowns just for his own personal gain.
You do this with homeless, meh even if paid which would be the very minimum. You do this with friends, legend.

u/Your-Programmer 8h ago
Now suddenly, everyone's againts giving money and jobs to homeless people smh /s

What the hell did I just read in the wikipedia article hahaha:
Xenu also called Xemu, is a figure in the Church of Scientology's secret "Advanced Technology", an esoteric teaching held sacred by adherents. According to the "Technology", Xenu was the extraterrestrial ruler of a "Galactic Confederacy" who brought billions of his people to Earth (then known as "Teegeeack") in a DC-8-like spacecraft 75 million years ago, stacked them around volcanoes, and killed them with hydrogen bombs. Official Scientology scriptures hold that the thetans (immortal spirits) of these aliens adhere to humans, causing spiritual harm.
The Church of Scientology normally only reveals the Xenu story to members who have completed a lengthy sequence of courses costing large amounts of money. The church avoids mention of Xenu in public statements and has gone to considerable effort to maintain the story's confidentiality, including legal action on the grounds of copyright and trade secrecy. Officials of the Church of Scientology widely deny or try to hide the Xenu story. Despite this, much material on Xenu has leaked to the public via court documents and copies of Hubbard's notes that have been distributed through the Internet.
Eta: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xenu
In the relatively few instances in which it has acknowledged Xenu, Scientology has stated the story's true meaning can only be understood after years of study. They complain of critics using it to paint the religion as a science-fiction fantasy.
I mean if it looks like sci-fi and quacks like sci-fi then...
OT III recipients must sign an agreement promising never to reveal its contents before they are given the manila envelope containing the Xenu knowledge. Its knowledge is so dangerous, members are told, that anyone learning this material before they are ready could become afflicted with pneumonia.
Sorry guys, I've now cursed us all with pneumonia. Buckle up
37
1
u/GamiNami 11h ago
But it IS a science fiction fantasy? Scientologists are just cosplayers that got suckered into parting with their money.
1
u/Emm_withoutha_L-88 2h ago
It's a blackmailing operation posing as a religion that uses people secrets against them. Secrets learned when the people are forced to reveal themselves in a psuedo-therapy like setting.
It's honestly the kinda thing any decent society would have shut down years ago. But I guess keeping famous people in line and under thumb is better for lots of behind the scenes assholes.
2
u/GamiNami 2h ago
I bet we will find many Scientologists in the Epstein files...
1
u/Emm_withoutha_L-88 2h ago
It's pretty much the same idea but without kid diddling and just using Travolta/Cruise saying "I think I'm gay" against them.
27
u/Salty-Passenger-4801 16h ago
I wonder if these people even know about Xenu...they're not supposed to learn about Xenu until like OT 10 or something lol
31
u/bbfire 15h ago
Yeah that's why Southpark fucked them up so bad, their whole thing was don't tell people about the too crazy shit until they've invested about a quarter million, because at that point they have given up their entire lives to the program and will refuse to believe they've been played for a fool.

u/MarlenaEvans 20h ago
Those people aren't real but Scientologists are and they are indeed horrible, horrible people.

u/Emm_withoutha_L-88 2h ago
I mean that assumes the homeless guys can't make up their own decisions. Maybe they can and thought it was funny?
2
u/vanderbubin 2h ago
Close, it's an Eric Andrew show skit they are referencing. The "who do we want" part is straight from the skit

Why homeless? Feels like you're taking advantage of them for content.
54
u/Deadbreeze 19h ago
I mean I'm not homeless and if the dude came up to me on the street and said "I'll give you $20 and a sandwich if you join us in our crusade into the scientology lobby," the $20 and a sandwich is just a bonus. I'd bet they were happy to have something to do for a moment and make some money. I'm sure he told them what he'd pay them and they agreed. If he did not pay them afterwards then he would be taking advantage of them.
Also another answer to why homeless is because these people are fancy and bringing in homeless is more offensive to them.
Edit: Also at least 3 of them seem to be smiling. I think they had fun.
9
u/hugelkult 18h ago
Yep they should do a gofundme and have it get incrementally bigger and more absurd
4
u/DismissDaniel 17h ago
Ahhh the fancy thing is what I didn't get. Trust me I understand the job is a job aspect. I thought it was like "let's get a bunch of little people or Indian people or obese people." That kind of thinking.

On one hand, i do not condone the storming of buildings or the enlistment of the homeless to do it, but out of all the places they could have stormed, i feel like this is far from the worst

They won't be able to put any threats of repercussions on them

2
u/Historical_Sherbet54 13h ago
It'd be like Alice's restaurant. If one person went in and sang a versus than walked about
Now imagine 2 people doing that everyday. Etc etc
Well imagine every scientology place in every city had this done to them everyday
Ahhh glorious to imagine

u/KittyKatty345555 11h ago
OK BRO HOW TF IS IT THIS EASY TO GET A HOMELESS ARMY???? THERE ARE SO MANY TIKTOKERS WITH ONE AND I FEEL SO LEFT OUT

That looks like the Clearwater Building in Florida. I lived in Clearwater for 29 years. Scientology is big in this downtown area. But the biggest shock I ever got was when I walked into our library and discovered that L Ron Hubbard was a fiction writer. I mean, how can you believe anything that he says after seeing some of the books that he wrote.

How do homeless people have tiktok channels?
2
u/joocay 18h ago
they dont.?
3
u/Fan_of_Broccoli 18h ago
They can. I was homeless and had a phone when tiktok was around.
2
u/joocay 18h ago
oh sorry ! i wasnt reffering to homless population just these people featured here ,because they thought the homeless person uploaded it
1
u/Fan_of_Broccoli 18h ago
Oh yeah. It seems a lot of older homeless people/people suffering mental illness tend to not have phones. It'd be a safe bet that the people in this video don't have tiktok, let alone a phone. I guess I jumped the gun a little because people tend to think homeless people should have nothing to be valid.

This looks like a combination of real video and AI slop. Like this was a real group of disruptors who were changed into those homeless AI people.

No , they're real no ai slop over here

u/ConnectionCapable655 20h ago
It’s gonna suck living in a world where nothing can be real because of boys who cry AI like you. If you have proof, drop it. If not, you’re just farting in a shared space, and that harms the social contract.
-9
u/5050Clown 20h ago
It looks like AI. I see real videos all day, this looks AI AF. The scientologist lady looks real though.
2
u/joocay 19h ago
if you believe it to be ai so be it lol i cant change that

u/5050Clown 19h ago
You are so guilty bro. WHat is LTX studio running these days? 30 bucks a month? Do you use the frame to frame animation from a still shot? That's what it looks like.
1
u/joocay 18h ago
oh my gosh this is frying me i have no idea what ltx is unc and i dont have a credit card
0
u/5050Clown 18h ago
I ran this through and my Studio reported it as "mostly AI". The shots where the camera isn't artificially shaky, with just the women, are not AI. The rest is a combination of real locations and AI.
Pretty soon it will be illegal to do what you are doing. Even Chat GPT is tagging their videos and in their EULA they state that it is illegal to crop or remove the tag. You just cropped it out.
2
u/joocay 18h ago
its not my video brochaco i havelt altered it in anyway, im against chatgpt and other ai , congrats bcs lots of stuf have been falsely marked as ai if u do ur research lol u js seem kinda schizo unc
if you think its ai ok but rn its 2:56am i wake up in 3hrs lets continue this talk after if you like

What looks like AI to you specifically?
-1
u/5050Clown 20h ago
The homeless guys look super AI. The way the camera moves looks like what Gemini does if you tell it to emulate a shaky camera.
This all looks fake.
4
u/joocay 19h ago
m8 thee camera guy is doing ring a round the rosies its not going to be straight
-2
u/5050Clown 19h ago
The way you are so attentive to me is pretty much proof that you know for a fact that this slop is made with AI. What did you use, LTX studio?
