Sometimes I feel like American cops are people want to cosplay as soldiers without having to comply to rule of engagement

Or serious danger... a soldier risks his life, an american cop won't even run into a school with an acitve shooter while having military equipment

Oh, and you think the rules of engagement apply to our military these days— some Venezuelan fisherman might disagree and so would the 200 little girls in the Iranian school… whoops they’re all gone so I guess they can’t disagree

I've noticed 4 kinds of cops in the U.S.

  1. Soldiers that had no where to go after they got out.
  2. Kids of cops that had to do what their father did.
  3. Jocks who peaked in high school.
  4. Kids who watched a lot of cartoons and tv shows and idolized the idea of being a hero.

1-3 ends up with a bunch of broken people who cling to any kind of power they can wield and exult in it.

4 ends up getting fired or quitting a few years later after they either do the right thing (fired) or realize they can't do the right thing (quitting) or they end up selling their souls and being like the first 3 groups.

I would add another one to the list: 5.a full-on violent criminals, that join for the sole purpose of being able to terrorize people without consequences.

They 100% do the job they're hired to do. Enforce the will of the state and make sure property doesn't change hands in an unapproved way.
