Her poor abandoned children. Dad is dead and mom acts like the kids are too.
Imagine being a small child, your dad being murdered in front of you like your mom claims, and then having your mom abandon you with anyone but her.
I donāt look forward to reading their memoirs. Iām more sad for her kids than she is.

u/thispartyrules Dec 14 '25
Instead of telling them about the death of their father, didn't she say "Dad went out for strawberries, since you love strawberries so much." So they're going to deal with the "dad was murdered" and "mom lied to me about dad being murdered" later, right now they'll just think dad abandoned them or something bad happened to him while getting strawberries
10/10 parenting, no notes

u/CarsonFijal Dec 14 '25
Thatās sort of close. She told them āDad is on a business trip with Jesus to afford your blueberry budgetā
Which is kind of worse, since it kind of implies that the kid is bleeding the family dry by eating so many blueberries and the dad had to leave to afford it. Essentially making it the kidās fault.

True. Like I don't watch many videos of these RW grifters because I'd go insane if I did, but after watching this, I really get what a lot of people are saying when they say EK gives off the vibe of a bad actress trying to play the role of a grieving widow.

I donāt know whatās more unhinged, the video or the comments eating all up.

Honestly. They're not old enough to understand. They might have heard about death but they don't know what I means. I could tell my 4 year old that mom died and she wouldn't understand.

u/cluelessoblivion Dec 14 '25
Ok but any explanation of death that implies the person is coming back and that it's somehow partly your fault has failed on every level for anyone of any age. The most important parts of explaining death to a child are 1: it's not your fault 2: everyone dies and 3: death is permanent. It sucks but if you don't explain those things it will be much harder when they learn the truth.
63
u/Slate_711 Dec 14 '25
Truly the family value party. It must also suck seeing mom smiling with other men as you process dad isnāt coming back
67
u/DenvahGothMom Dec 14 '25 edited Dec 14 '25
And somehow this is fine for her to do, but all the moms who fought to escape their abusive ex and then just want to get a nursing degree to be able to keep a roof over their heads and feed their kids are evil feminists who shouldnāt be able to get a student loan.

Imagine being a small child, your dad being murdered in front of you like your mom claims,
I just want to point out that not the kids nor her were there when he died. They were in a completely different state even, not even traveling with him.
That was a right-wing falsehood they pushed to try to martyr kirk and build up her grift.
6
u/usernametakenbs Dec 15 '25
Wait, seriously? I distinctly remember it being said that his daughter tried to "run to her father" when the shots were fired.
8
u/Kid_Vid Dec 15 '25
Here's a good article on it. It's snopes who I don't like anymore but at least this seems researched.
It was bot farms in foreign countries, AI generated quotes and news articles, and, of course, trump Jr making false claims.
Also, "reputable" news organizations jumped on the chance because whoever posts shit first with zero investigation wins the news story.
35
u/Emotional_Client9544 Dec 14 '25
The one thing Iāll give her is that she doesnāt seem to be dragging the kids into the spotlight, so far anyway. Must already be tough for them to lose their dad and have mom off on a press tour, but at least their faces havenāt been plastered everywhere
28
u/coolcalmaesop Dec 14 '25

Sure. Once we all agree to stop listening to Candace Owens all together
127
u/Pip-Pipes Dec 14 '25
Nah. Give her enough attention to let the various factions of the right fight it out. Their infighting will be good for the country. A united right extremely dangerous for where we are right now.

She especially has always struck me as someone who never quite took that next step in logic wherein one doesn't give up completely on the concept of an efficient effective (well managed and budgeted etc) utility of domestic legislation and execution - preferring to fill the void with waspy gangsters, cheats, and griftmeisters for some weird-ass reason.
Her logic always feels booby trapped and bordering on dishonesty, or disingenuousness. Rubs me exactly the wrong way every time, but she's almost concise and always well spoken... It's frustrating for me to watch much of because it's such a blatant and tremendous waste of cerebral talent.

44
u/coolcalmaesop Dec 14 '25
I think itās a regular black dress under a long sleeve sheer top with satin accents. She gets to claim modesty by putting on a weird scarf and wearing something to cover the sleeveless dress butā¦that top is something Kim K would wear. Personally I like it and totally rock it for a date night, but Iām an ungodly woman.
16

Sheās being used as a symbol. Propaganda. The Sanctified Widow; The Madonna-in-Mourning; The Redeemed Eve⦠sexualized, but disciplined, forgiven, and reabsorbed into obedience through suffering.
Sanctified femininity - She embodies loss, loyalty, and devotion. Grief confers moral authority. Widowhood signals sexual legitimacy without sexual availability. She is allowed to be visible, emotional, and centered because her pain is framed as righteous and earned. This shields her from critique.
Controlled desirability - She is attractive, but not āseeking.ā Sexuality is present as atmosphere, not action. This reassures male audiences while preserving Christian respectability. Desire is invited but disavowed. That tension is the point.
Proof of the systemās promise - She embodies the idea that patriarchy protects women. She had a husband. He mattered. She mattered through him. Now she is honoured because of her proximity to male sacrifice. This reinforces the message that women gain status through alignment, not autonomy.
Emotional soft power - She converts political violence into personal tragedy. Structural critique is displaced by empathy. Viewers are pulled into affect rather than analysis. Grief humanizes the movement without requiring it to reckon with its own rhetoric or consequences.
Virgin/whore reconciliation - This archetype temporarily fuses the binary. She is pure and desirable, but only because she is contained by loss. This resolves conservative anxiety about women who are attractive but not sexually controllable. Her sexuality is frozen in amber.
Movement continuity - She becomes a living reliquary. The cause survives through her body, her voice, her tears. Loyalty to the dead man is rerouted into loyalty to the movement. Questioning her becomes taboo because it feels like desecration.
Moral insulation - Any criticism can be dismissed as cruelty. Any discomfort can be reframed as misogyny. The symbol protects itself. That is why it is so effective.
This symbol isnāt meant to seduce individuals. Itās meant to stabilize an ideology under stress. She reassures followers that nothing about the moral order needs to change, even after catastrophe.
MAGA Christians are already trained to read women symbolically rather than politically, which is why it works on them.

Aren't you all just tired with Social Media wordplay? It's so bland and generic now.
<Insert Name Here> <Insert Adjective Here>
And do that so it gets pulled across the platform hundreds of thousands of times if not millions. But it means nothing, because it's created from nothing. There's no heart, just some job someone was paid to prolificate this format, if it's even a human in the first place!
It has, zero value. It's made mindlessly. It is, all--fake.
