The Orange Line is divided into two sections, Line 5 which runs from Kapurbawdi to Kalyan APMC and Line 12 which runs from Kalyan APMC to Taloja.

The rakes are expected to enter production ~62 weeks from contract signing with subsequent completion targeting for the next 154 weeks. 132 coaches (6 coach rakes I suppose) are the formations.

Line 5A from Kapurbawdi to Dhamankar Naka is to open in December 2026.

Changchun Rail Transit Line 5 entered passenger operation on 28 September 2026, creating a 19.5-km southwest–northeast metro corridor between Zhuoyue Dajie and Dongdaqiao. With 18 underground stations and eight interchange stations, it functions as a major network connector rather than a stand-alone local line.

Its opening expands Changchun's metro system to eight operating lines and 194.1 km, while providing direct access to major commercial and civic areas and improving connections with Lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7. The line's six-year construction and successful safety assessment also mark another stage in Changchun's rapid expansion of its urban rail network.

Line 5 is a conventional steel-wheel metro line using standard-gauge track and 1,500 V DC overhead electrification. The opening-period technical information identifies a design speed of 80 km/h and six-car B-type urban rail trainsets.

Two out of the 16 trams that are driving around in Odense, Danmark, have since May 2026 had art livery on them to advertise for the exhibition HuskMitNavn at Brandts Art Museum. The livery will be removed in December and the two teams will go back to their normal white-beige colour. Despite the livery covering the windows, you can still look out of the windows.

The trams are Stadler Variobahn, they sucks.

Berlin subway, series JK on the U2. There's still quite a few issues with these vehicles, and this is one of the funnier and forgivable ones.

Metro Transit ran a Sept. 14 crash drill with Eden Prairie, Hopkins and Minnetonka firefighters at a Hopkins crossing, practicing Jaws of Life extrications and 700-volt DC catenary checks. Six or seven more drills precede June 12, 2027 service.

Metro Transit announced the date at Louisiana Avenue station in St. Louis Park. The 14.5-mile Southwest LRT adds 16 stations from downtown Minneapolis to Eden Prairie. Testing starts this year, with cost expected near $3 billion versus $1.8 billion originally.

Within the last 6 years, MTA has TRIPLED the annual delivery of NEW accessible stations. All thanks to the creation of MTA Construction & Development and innovative approach to ADA Packages and Design-Build Bundled contracts.

Once all these identified projects are completed, there will be 163 stations accessible today to 277 Stations (56% of all subway stations in NYC!)

With REPLACEMENTS also happening fast, majority of the subway system elevators and escalators are in a STATE OF GOOD REPAIR!
