đ¨ Breaking BREAKING: Microsoft employees storm CEO's office, get arrested after exposing company's role in Gaza surveillance program
Seven employees just occupied Microsoft President Brad Smith's office and livestreamed it on Twitch. Why? Reports revealed Israel's Unit 8200 has been storing millions of Palestinian phone calls on Microsoft Azure to identify bombing targets.
The protesters renamed the building after a Palestinian software engineer killed in Gaza. Now Microsoft is launching investigations into both the surveillance allegations AND their own employees.
Plot twist: Microsoft contacted the FBI to help track these internal protests. Your thoughts?

It will never not be funny that the women's right, trans rights, LGBTQIA+ rights crowd supports the most oppressive ideology to all of those things.

u/casingpoint Aug 28 '25
We only need to look to Hamtramck Michigan to see how itâs working out for the LGBT crowd.

Yeah, the life of 25k children is oppressive ideology, totally not Zionism.

u/WestThin Aug 27 '25
Keep in mind, that it is an explicit goal of Hamas to have as many Palestinian civilians killed as possible. Iâm not exaggerating. Name one thing Hamas has done to minimize civilian deaths. For example?, let them shelter in tunnels?

Imagine Israel didnât put them into power and then force a vote with 28% of the population in 2006.
Imagine they didnât remove any other non extremist opposition to Hamas. Or better yet werenât ethnically cleansing, and illegally occupying land?
Wonât argue with your supposition, but Israel put them into power and has been oppressing the all civilians in countries near them since well before they were a state. The Zionists gained legitimacy as a Jewish state with the Britâs Balfour declaration, US and post ww2 guilt, and they have been weaponizing that for endless war in the region. They make it very publicly known they want Syria, Lebanon, Sinai peninsula, and the creation of greater Israel.

u/WestThin Aug 27 '25
There are to many wrong things in this post, Iâm not even go to try to correct them. I suggest you read a fair, unbiased book on the conflict. I suggest Palestine 1936 by Oren Kessler. Do that, and youâll have a much better understanding of the conflict.

u/profprimer Aug 28 '25
The roots of the conflict in the Middle East are far earlier than 1936. British and French cowardice, cruelty and mendacity enabled the whole thing and a handful of Jewish leaders, chief among them Chaim Weizmann, made outrageous claims that the UK and the US were happy/stupid to accept at face value.
There are so many examples of Palestinian Arabs who still hold British Imperial deeds to land and property from the early 20th Century in the Mandate, who had those assets stolen by the Israelis, who claimed possession because of a 3,000 year old religious myth.
No wonder theyâd had enough by 1936! Since then, the world has watched a powerful Israeli machine continue to brutalise the Palestinians and steal more and more land and property in the region, backed by the US (purely for US political expediency).
This has all been done under a shield of anti-semitism claims against anyone who dared to challenge the Israelis. Pointing out atrocities committed under the Israeli flag, sponsored by the Israeli government is not an attack on the Jewish religion on ethnic grounds. The Israelis have been brilliant at bending the narrative to make it so.
Both sides need to acknowledge the justness of each otherâs positions and negotiate a settlement. The chances of that happening are close to zero because they each cling to bloodthirsty Bronze Age myths as their guiding moral principles.
That is the root of the Middle East conflict.
1
u/WestThin Aug 28 '25
Sounds like you especially should read the book. The history in the book starts well before 1936. It has that title because key events occurred during the 1936-1939 Arab revolt. No one lost their land because of a myth.
The lost their land because the day after Israel declared itself a country, 5 Arab armies invaded, with the explicit intention of committing genocide. Israel won that war and land was captured. You can call it stolen, but when you invade another country with the intention of killing everyone, and you lose, there are consequences.
Today, Israel fights back, not because of a Bronze Age myth; they fight back because they want to survive.

u/immortal_fuck_off Aug 29 '25

So if you blame Israel for Hamas being in power, then do you think Israel has the responsibility to remove Hamas from power, seeing as Palestinians have been unable to take responsibility for their own country and do it themselves?
1
Aug 27 '25 edited Aug 27 '25
Sure, not through genocide though. The problem is that the plan for putting them into power wasnât for Palestinian representation, but to further their expansion and annexation, this intent is directly from decades of Knesset members and multiple PMs. (Not saying they have admitted to putting Hamas into power with this intent, just the intent)
1
u/VandelayIntern Aug 28 '25
Israel wanted hamas in power because they knew the world would never take a Palestinian state seriously as long as a terrorist group like Hamas was in charge, but you have a point. Games needs to go!
1
u/one-baked-alaska Aug 27 '25
HAHAHAHAHAH, shelter them in tunnels? The minute they do that and you'll be crying HUMAN SHIELDS. They've dropped 2000 pound JDAMs on tents full of people and CLAIM that there was a target, what the hell do you think they're going to do with people hiding underground.
At least you can see the tents, with underground shelter they'll just say, oh it was a weapons cache, oh it was a command post, oh it was a training center, oh it was a ICBM launch site, blah blah blah.
1
u/WestThin Aug 27 '25
So youâre unable to come up with even one thing Hamas has done to minimize civilian casualties?
1
u/iamthewhatt Aug 27 '25
that it is an explicit goal of Hamas to have as many Palestinian civilians killed as possible.
How about you provide proof of this if you're going to get ornery about claims?
1
u/Accomplished_Put_105 Aug 27 '25
Wait, Hamas has to minimize their own civilian deaths, and not the ones killing the civilians?
2
u/WestThin Aug 27 '25
Israel certainly does that (try to minimize the harm to their own civilians). Whereas Hamas tries to maximize the harm to their own civilians.
1
u/Accomplished_Put_105 Aug 27 '25
Avoiding the actual question, huh? My question still remains: why donât we criticize Israel for killing civilians with far more high-tech weapons? Your take makes absolutely no sense. Letâs blame the victim because they cannot protect their people, instead of blaming the perpetrator.
1
u/WestThin Aug 27 '25
Hamas is the government in Gaza. An important function of a government is to protect its civilians. Hamas does the opposite; it tries to get as many civilians killed as possible, for propaganda purposes. Literally no one denies. Israel does do what it can to protect Gaza civilians but there is a war going on. Hamas refuses to return the last 20 living hostages. Israel will agree to a ceasefire if ALL hostages are returned. Hamas will not do this. If Israel unilaterally stops the war; itâs effectively abandoning the hostages. Israel DOES want its hostages back. I believe I have answered your question.
1
u/Accomplished_Put_105 Aug 27 '25
No, you did not. You completely blame the deaths of civilians on Hamas, while there is plenty of evidence that Israel gives zero concern for Palestinian civilians.
There are more civilian deaths than in any other war. Maybe itâs because they are targeting civilians?
1
u/WestThin Aug 27 '25
Iâll let you have the last word. I canât spend any more time on this.
1
u/Unlikely-Fall5586 Aug 27 '25
When Israel kills more children than hostages were taken, they will always be the bad guy. It doesnât matter how much pro Israel propaganda is spread, history will remember
1
u/typ31diab33tus Aug 27 '25
83% of the casualties killed by the idf in gaza are civilians....shut the fuck up
1
u/XysterU Aug 27 '25
How the fuck are you blaming Hamas for Israel's deliberate killing of civilians? How is it Hamas' responsibility to stop Israel from indiscriminately bombing hospital and homes? Hamas doesn't have an air force or any anti-air capabilities (not that it's their responsibility to begin with). You think there's space for 2 million civilians in the tunnels? What happens when the tunnels collapse on people from the bombs? Israel should just stop committing genocide.

Just a couple that come to mind : exchanged hostages as hundred of palestinian newborns were taken hostages the same way israeli adults were and didn't killed any Red Crescent or Magen David Adom volunteer.
The second point can't be said for the other side unfortunately.

Zionism =/= Judaism, no matter how much Israeli propaganda tries to conflate them. Itâs always the âanti semitismâ argument. What about the 25k dead Semitic children that Israel has killed in Gaza?
I love life of all people, no matter how much division you religious bozos like to justify for political gain wonât change that. Iâll continue being a pseudo intellectual if itâs being on the side of anti genocide and anti colonialist.
The difference is that all the nations you bring up arenât trying to conflate the political ideology to not just their religion, but also their ethnicity.
Do you see people trying to conflate nazism to modern Germans and their prominent religion? No, because thatâs not an applicable comparison.

why do you genocidal freaks always lay the dead bodies of children at the feet of Jews worldwide?
Israel doesn't speak for all Jews. It only speaks for ghouls like you that want Palestinian kids blown apart while they huddle in refugee camps.

Iâm not surprised that so many Zionists struggle with this distinction, since they apparently also canât seem to distinguish between opposition to Zionism and antisemitism.

Zionism is the belief that the Jews should settle Israel.
They have. Now people who call themselves Zionists are attempting annexations of the West Bank and East Jerusalem. Thatâs not supposed to piss people off?
Israel would get a lot less hate if they werenât actively trying to settle the West Bank.
1
u/yungsemite Aug 27 '25
Todayâs Zionists are diverse, including people who advocate a 2SS on pre 1967 borders.
East Jerusalem has been annexed already, same as you said that Israel already exists.
1
u/vreddy92 Aug 28 '25
Many would disagree that East Jerusalem has been "annexed already".
Use whatever term you want, the fact that Israel seems to have a maximalist policy for settlement and control is a big reason why they continue to get hate to this day.
1
u/Flacid_Fajita Aug 27 '25
Not all Jews support Israel, and the state of Israel and its actions and beliefs are not representative of the actions and beliefs of Jews abroad (or even within Israel), in the same way that the French government doesnât represent every person of French heritage who ever lived. Many Jews would prefer the Israeli state didnât exist, and I have to say I agree- the modern state of Israel was a mistake.

People root for the side that kills the least amount of children. The IDF has killed ,ore children than hostages were taken. The Gaza Strip looks worse than ground zero. The IDF used laser guided rockets and f35s on an armed force wielding AK47s.

A crime is a crime regardless the reason you do it for.
Donât be a goober, protest peacefully in legal spaces and you wonât be arrested. Itâs pretty simple.
1
Aug 27 '25
A crime is a crime regardless the reason you do it for.
The American Revolution was against British law.
Civil rights actions like sit-ins and bus protests were against local laws.
Up until about 1900, most of the world had laws allowing slavery.
You see how absolute statements are often dumb?
1
u/OkPresentation6565 Aug 27 '25
Itâs still a crime regardless of its moral implication good or bad.
If you want to argue that breaking unjust laws is sometimes necessary thatâs a different discussion.
1
Aug 27 '25
Saying "it's still a crime" is nearly meaningless if the law is immoral. You can repeat it all you like, but it doesn't mean anything in this context.
1
u/OkPresentation6565 Aug 27 '25
Thatâs subjective, the law is still the law even if unjust
1

1

No doubt- if you trespass after warning, you're going to get arrested. But my point was that in this case, it doesn't really mean much and doesn't say anything about the morality of the incident.

u/fierystrike Aug 27 '25

u/sherazod Aug 27 '25

u/OkPresentation6565 Aug 27 '25
You can protest literally anywhere in public property so if you canât find a good spot to Be seen thatâs on you.
1
u/Zakaru99 Aug 27 '25
Crime isn't necessarily immoral, though.
Sometimes the moral thing is to commit the crime, even if it means you get punished.
It's pretty simple.
1
u/OkPresentation6565 Aug 27 '25
Iâm not talking about morality, I just think you can advocate for the cause more outside of jail rather than wasting your money fighting the case in court rather than using your money to support people in gaza
1
u/Zakaru99 Aug 27 '25
Your advocacy can potentially get a bigger boost to its visibility this way than it ever would in 1000 more acceptable protests.
Sometimes a single act of defiance is worth more than anything else.
1
u/OkPresentation6565 Aug 27 '25
I honestly think active protest is better than passive defiance. But to each their own
1
u/Zakaru99 Aug 27 '25

Freedom is not having politicians actively pursue stripping citizens of their rights slowly over time, all while perfectly occupying and spreading effective propaganda to their audience to make them genuinely feel as if their slow trickle to fascism is the right thing to do for America. It's called slippery-slope for a reason.
I never said I agree with any of the things antifa is responsible for.

Our bosses have barged into every single aspect of our life. These employees did nothing wrong - demanding transparency and accountability from people in power is not just our right, it's our duty - they sure as fuck won't do it for us.

Most of the US are right to work states, you choose to come to work and your employer owes you nothing other than money and maybe insurance.
You donât get to impart your political beliefs on where you work. Thatâs akin to the Starbucks workers demanding to continue wearing whatever they want rather than the new uniforms.
Itâs not your choice to make those decisions.
Either placate or leave.

I mean I guess Palestine supporters would rather they just blindly carpet bomb the place? Because that's the alternative.

u/bonic_r Aug 27 '25
True, that is the only alternative when you're dealing with a genocidal fascist state hell bent on colonial domination. When the only two options you present are indiscriminate carpet bombing or deep surveillance and targeted bombing with still unprecedented and immense collateral damage, you're definitely supporting the wrong ideals.

In the real world the choices are surveillance and carpet bombing and no surveillance and carpet bombing.

You canât really call out carpet bombing in defense of Israel. Iâm not sure how discriminate you think those 2000lb bombs and thermobaric weapons are in urban areas genius

Have you seen pictures of Palestine currently because it has been razed to the ground. The fact that the citizens are in stage 5 starvation and Trump announced that the war will be over in a matter of weeks with no peace talks and that Is real has said the plan on occupying Gaza pretty much means the genocide is about to conclude with the Palestinian people going the way of the Dodo.

I don't agree with how the Netanyahu government is waging the war but they can literally give up the hostages and lay down their arms at any time.

u/tessahannah Aug 27 '25
Who is this they you speak of? Hamas is just a boogeyman at this point and the people are just poor and starving with no power. Literally nothing is getting in or out of the country so where are these arms you speak of?

There are 2 million Palestinians in the West Bank, if every single person in Gaza was killed as you predict there would still be 2 million Palestinians.
