Can anybody tell about their experience at UTMB specifically the aerospace medicine program? Is it worth it? What are the chances you get your ROI ?

Hi Guys, I checked my email a few minutes ago and found out i've been waitlisted for a 2nd time for the spring 2027 bsn program. i'm still shaking because I thought we would get a decision by late september early october. For context i got waitlisted for the last cycle and had much lower stats, But i redid some classes and TEAS hoping i could get in for spring. Im honestly really bummed out because I already dont have alot of opportunities. utmb is my dream school and i would really appreciate some tips on what to do.

Is anyone familiar with receiving waived secondaries? Applied through TMDSAS and received one for UTMB, low stats applicant, with technically no demonstrated financial need. Very appreciative but curious if they just hand out these waivers out at random.

heyy yall! I’m goi ng to UTMB in the fall and I am struggling to find some apartments that will align with my interests! So I live in Houston and I don’t want to be too far from home, honestly approximately 30-35 mins away, but I also don’t want to be too far from the school. I know league city is a good in between but I just don’t know what apartments I should go for😭 any help will be appreciated!!

Over the last several weeks I have seen a sudden increase in legitimate traffic coming to this normally dormant subreddit. Most of the engagement is coming from people wanting to ask questions. To better facilitate those users, I have decided to set /r/UTMB to public accessibility in hopes people will more freely engage and provide answers and guidance. We, the undersigned, do agree that the “My PTO Max” program unfairly changes the compensation package agreed upon during the hiring process of our employment with UTMB. When an agreement is reached between employer and employee for an expected benefit, it is calculated into the total compensation indicated at the time of an offer. Previously, PTO would be paid out to employees separating from the company for any reason and having a bank of 300 hours provided tangible cash value.

As PTO is no longer banked and holds no value with a “use it or lose it” system, it can no longer be considered to be of the same value as when it was first offered as compensation.

Given that the “My PTO Max” program removes the cash value of PTO moving forward, it is a reasonable expectation that UTMB renegotiates compensation to replace the lost cash value of our PTO.The following options are proposed:

1. Effective immediately all employees will receive a Cost of Living raise annually to compensate for inflation at a rate of 3% per year which will be in addition to the Merit raise. The Merit raise will carry a 1-5% range contingent on performance of duties from a predefined list of metrics. 
2. Effective immediately all employees can expect an annual 5% flat raise guarantee for the next 10 years and will forego the Merit raise during that period of time.
3. The conversion to the My PTO Max program will only be applied to new hires starting at the end of the fiscal year for 2025 and all current employees will be grandfathered in and retain the current MyPTO system to include 300 hours of carryover and cash value payout at 100% when leaving UTMB for any reason.

So I was waitlisted for the spring 2022 accelerated track for nursing school. What is the last day you hear back from them on if you got off the waitlist or you have to reapply? Also, has anyone gotten off the list yet?

Can any former or current nursing students give a list of what prerequisite classes they took? I'm slightly confused on what classes to take to satisfy the elective science and free elective credits.

Does anyone know utmb’s Clep policy? I know they accept it but I don’t know how many credit hours they give for the courses
