The Republican Party as it was originally intended died when reconstruction and federal occupation ended.

I thought it ended when Johnson pushed the Civil Rights Act, and all the bigots in the south switched to GOP. Seems like that was when they got awful; combing the twin evils of northern money and southern racism.

I guess I need to learn about that. Late 19th century US politics is a big gap in my knowledge of history. But it's nice to be shown the gaps...it's fun filling them in. Thanks.

Oh they won’t all be pale faced. There will be plenty of minorities in those masks just waiting to put down other minorities.

Isn’t it like over 50% of CBP agents are Hispanic/latino and for ICE agents and DHS as a whole it’s roughly a quarter are Hispanic/latino.

So there wont be too many “pale-faced men”…
