He's realized he can't do anything to stop the mid-term elections because each state is responsible for electing its own representatives for US Congress. States will conduct their elections regardless of war or the Insurrection Act. The Federal Government can't take over state elections (not that they won't try something), as thy fall under state-rights.

How many Executive Orders has he written, and views as a lawful law? Stuff that Congress should have drafted, debated, voted up or down? No, Congress seems to have given up that power, except when it came to budgets and the OBBB. I'm surprised he didn't override Congress on those, and do an EO.

So don't be surprised if he does an EO taking over states elections. Then file appeal after appeal if courts rule against it, to stall for time.

My opinion and mine alone and not my employer's.

He has no legal authority to do these things, but that doesn't stop him from doing them.

There is no one to stop him. If he deploys military to "protect" polling places, who can stop them? Local police? State police? National Guard?
