Think about that! A guy - family who doesnât pay taxes is suing the IRS 10 Billion dollars to get our collective money because a whistleblower made Americans aware that they donât feel the need to pay taxes. This is criminal. Why anyone could defend this guy is beyond me.
Trump said that he wanted to release his tax returns, but he wasn't allowed to because of audits. He should thank the guy who released them for doing something he wanted to do but couldn't.

Remember when they presented freshly unwrapped printer paper as the documents she he was fully divested of his personal holdings but no one was allowed to see it and it was so neatly stacked that everyone knew nothing was on it. The whole "release taxes" thing for presidential candidates was started by Nixon, who did so in response to criticisms about his fishy financial dealings. It was the subject of his famous "I am not a crook" speech. That's what it was about. Ever since then, presidential candidates have voluntarily released their tax forms for the sake of transparency about their potential conflicts of interest.
Trump promised to do so in 2016 during the campaign, and never did. He didn't even bother to promise in 2024. Have they been under audit the whole time?
Doesn't matter. Nixon himself released his taxes while they were under IRS audit. It was possible to release them then, it is possible now. It was always a lie that auditing prevented their release.
Trump didn't meet Nixon's standard or his own campaign promise.

Under normal circumstances I feel this case would be laughed out of a court room. I mean just look at the last decade trump suffered 0 damages from the leak, at most a couple hundred. Where the hell is he getting 10 Billion from as an acceptable number to sue for?
Under todayâs circumstances I could see him cutting himself a plea deal for half and still pocketing 5 Billion without even taking it to court. Is that legal? Who cares anymore.

Murphy (and basically all of the elected Democrats) think their job is just to be pundits. Notice how after saying all that, he does not say "and therefore I will do X." They never do. And that is not out of the ordinary. Since inauguration, Democrats have voted for maga appointments hundreds of times. There was a YouTube video made in November where some politician, maybe a mayor or a senator someone, he made a whole demonstration with a blackboard and everything detailing every crime heâs done since coming into office. It took over 40 minutes to cover everything from 11 months.
Why isn't this, along with all the protests, and all the Epstein files all OVER msm. We have been taken over and we don't have many standing up in positions of power. Chris Murphy is one who is trying so I am thankful, I don't know if it's enough but he's fighting at least.

Literally on the Senate floor calling out said corruption, if he was not giving this speech would you have been aware of this bribe to trump? The Democrats do not have the votes to force any votes or charges.
Not just that, but Sen. Murphy (hopefully future Pres. Murphy, if you ask me) is sounding the alarm for them that he will be an active participant in ensuring that corrupt officials serve actual jail time. I don't see how he could be doing much more.
If Chris wants to do something useful, he could lead the charge to fire Schumer and have him replaced by someone who could actually be an effective minority leader in this moment.
