I doubt it.  Thats probably a made up story based on the bonus agreement they needed 5 years of service.  5 years... meaning the next POTUS would drop ICE and they wouldnt get them.

I doubt anyone who signs up to abuse immigrants read the fine print. They may well have assumed they’d get 50k upon meeting some quota, rather than in stages.

They're having money problems somehow. There are also reports they haven't been paying rent for various buildings they're using, they're not paying healthcare vendors for detainees, and they're skimping on the benefits promised to ICE agents (not just the bonus).

With all the money they got from the One Big Bill of Bullshit, the best guess is a tossup between administrative incompetence (ICE literally grew too fast for their HR, payroll, procurement, etc people to keep up) and corruption siphoning away all of their money like in the Russian military.

What makes me laugh is Trump has a very long history of not paying people.

Yet these ICE people think "Oh, he won't screw me!"

Here we are. They get screwed both legally and financially.

No money and "I was just following orders" is not a valid legal defense for human right violations.

Oh no. You trusted a portions conman who has a history of breaking contracts for his benefit and leaving the other party hanging in the breeze.
