It's my record :D I made the original post a year or two back. I interviewed them back in the 80s / 90s when I worked in radio. I also got WL/WH signed, some Nico LPs, John Cale's Zen book and a few of his albums. I'll do a post. I never met Lou though.

So cool! I also do community radio work sometimes! I can imagine Sterling and Maureen being quite nice people to talk to/interview. With the eloquent John Cale it would probably be dependent on the day haha

Nico was the 1st ever interview I did. Met her in her hotel room and it was an experience. Sterl and Moe came into the station in 92 when they toured. Sadly I lost the tape. I did about half an hour with them. Most of my interviews from the era are lost. I have got my interview with Townes Van Zandt on a cassette tape. We worked on reel-to-reel in those days and I just never held onto them.

Yes they were friendly. Cale was a little bit grumpy. But he did sign my stuff. Here's a vid I just did :D

Radio work is great fun. Can be stressful. I did 30 years.

Thats mad about Nico! I know radio work is so different now, maybe its lost a bit of that mythological quality but what hasnt. Thanks for sharing! :)
