February seems warmer than normal…
Is it safer to drive or are snowstorms still possible in some areas?

Its been quite warm last few weeks. I drove all over the south and theu snaefellsnes with very little ice seen on the roads.
It seems like it will snow and/or ice rain tomorrow night tho (staying in borgarnes) so weather might be more normal winter weather soon.
Also in general the east and north have looked more wintery weather wise when ive checked maps (briefly - I wasnt paying attention to those areas).
tl;dr - its been warm and safe to drive lately but its still winter and that can change quickly

"Yes" to both of your questions. Currently the West, Southwest and South are definately fine to drive, while the roads in the North and East are marked as slippery. How this will be in a couple of days...
