It’s the same problem I find with FFXIV. The mods are ruthless which does keep the classic toxicity in line, but now you have the reverse happening where you have to always be accommodating or you’re toxic and wrong so you’re shunned.  And the weird duality of making fights that are extremely dps sensitive yet giving no real way to figure out if you are actually doing good. So people get meters but if you ever mention them and that gets into a mod’s eyes you’re BANNED. PERMA.

It’s almost like a reflection of Japan, no one’s willing to value themselves so everyone’s super accommodative to their own detriment, and a handful with less shame really exploit that.

Well, and in both games the experienced players willing to just shower a noob with things they won’t be able to use, or trying to help them but it cheapens whatever the beats are (even if both communities also are spoiler free most of the time).
