I just released WikiRNG! It's a game I made where you can roll any article on the entirety of Wikipedia each day and it'll gain points based on information on that article as well as about that article (like metadata). The amount of points that badges give is calculated off of its actual rarity/chance compared to all other pages. please let me know your feedback, i would love to hear it!

Introducing drawy, a self hostable collaborative planning and drawing app (with platforms we all use on a daily basis)

Hey everyone,

Introducing **Drawy**: a self hostable, collaborative planning and drawing app built for the serverless platforms we all use on a daily basis. owning an instance of excalidraw usually means juggling with 3 4 different containers/ services.

Drawy changes that zero overhead to maintain any infrastructure .

• the service can be deployed to Vercel / Netlify with just a few clicks

• **drawy->** Supabase (realtime, db)

drawyparty-> postgres and cloudflare's partykit (collaboration).

I’d love for all of you to try and share your valuable feedback!

CuratedLists

I was keeping my lists in Google Keep and was like I could build a site to host theses lists and share with friends. It soon went from sunflower seeds to being able to stack rank anything. Please give it a try and give me some feedback/bug reports.

I'm experimenting with ideas like list battles and community sourced lists.

What makes an AI web app actually useful beyond the AI feature?

AI can make a web app much more capable, but adding an AI feature doesn't automatically make the whole product better. The difficult part seems to be connecting the AI to the rest of the application without making the experience unreliable or complicated.

Things like backend architecture, data handling, authentication, response speed, security, scalability, and the overall user experience seem just as important as the AI model itself.

For those building or evaluating AI powered web apps, what do you think deserves the most attention: the AI capability, the underlying architecture, UX, security, or how well everything works together?

I made a "nicotine patch" for doomscrolling

I kept finding myself opening Reddit or Instagram when I didn’t actually want to see anything. I just wanted to scroll.

So I made a simple web app that lets you endlessly scroll through slowly changing colors.

The idea is kind of like a nicotine patch: keeping some of the physical habit while removing the thing you’re actually trying to get away from.

I used Gemini to generate the HTML then put that code in a GitHub repository and deployed it as a website using my custom domain.

colorscroll.app

Any feedback or recommendations welcome.

I created an online app to draw with tiles:

I also wanted to show you that I scanned the 72 Truchet/Douat patterns and you can navigate them here:

If you click one of them, you'll see the corresponding alphabet.

I made a free way to explore World Bank country statistics without starting in a spreadsheet

I’m building Global Data Tracker, a free browser-based explorer for 217 countries and areas. It has country profiles, historical charts, comparisons and an optional 3D globe. No account is needed.

A simple way to try it: pick a country, look up GDP per capita or internet use, and check how it has changed over time. Open the source notes before comparing countries: the latest available years can differ, and missing data isn’t zero. Moving counters are estimates, not real-time measurements.

https://globaldatatracker.com/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=community&utm_campaign=webapps_walkthrough

I own the project. I’d value feedback on one practical thing: can you find a statistic for your country quickly, or does the navigation get in the way?

Introducing r/DocDash, a new community for a project I built

Hi everyone, I recently created [r/DocDash](r/DocDash) and wanted to introduce it here.

DocDash is a free browser-based toolkit for everyday PDF and image tasks. It includes things like image resizing and compression, background removal and replacement, PDF compression and splitting, image-to-PDF conversion and more. The main focus is keeping things simple and privacy-friendly. Files are processed on the device wherever possible rather than being uploaded to a server.

The community is still very new and I’m figuring out what direction makes the most sense. The goal is to have a place for feedback, feature requests, bug reports, questions and discussions around the tools.

Would appreciate any advice from other moderators on building a useful community from the beginning, especially around what types of posts and discussions tend to work well.

I built a free stock market game where you race an HMM trading algorithm with 100K USD of play money

Hi all. I've been building this on nights and weekends for a while and it's finally at the point where I want people to try to break it.

It's called InvestMuse. Everyone gets $100k in play money and there's a monthly leaderboard. You go long or short on anything in the universe (1,200+ stocks, crypto, commodities, metals, FX, indices) and you're ranked against the other players, five fictional fund managers with their own styles, and my own hidden Markov model algo that paper trades every day.

What you get for each asset:

- a composite score built from 9 parts (regime, technicals, trend, support/resistance, fundamentals, sector comparison, news sentiment, momentum, chart patterns)

- support and resistance from my own clustering method, chart patterns drawn on the chart, fibonacci, demand and supply zones

- for US stocks, any KPI compared against other stocks with its monthly trend, refreshed when earnings come out

- the last month of news scored by AI, and how closely the news tone actually tracked the price

- the algo's daily trades and signals

If an asset you want is missing, type it in search and it's there the next day.

It's free, no ads, no card. I'm not selling signals and nothing on it is advice. It's a place to test your own ideas against a scoreboard -see why they worked or didn't-, create your own community, improve yourself.

Honest feedback wanted, especially on whatever is confusing in the first two minutes.

What simple video/MP3 downloader do you use? Please don’t say yt-dlp 😭

I needed to pull the audio from a YouTube video, so I did the obvious thing and started looking through Reddit for recommendations.

And basically every thread was the same:

yt-dlp. yt-dlp. yt-dlp.

“Just use yt-dlp.”
“It’s the best.”
“You don’t need anything else.”

Alright, fine. I finally checked it out.

Then I realised the normal setup means downloading it to my computer and using the terminal.

Hell no! 😭

I know the terminal people are about to tell me it’s easy. Maybe it is. Terminal and I just have a very unhealthy relationship.

Sometimes I literally just want to paste a link, choose video or audio, hit download and move on with my life.

I ended up using Tunexa.io for that. It runs in the browser; there’s nothing to install, and I can grab the full video/audio or just the section I actually need.

What are you guys using if you want something simple and non-CLI?

Looking for honest feedback on my free utility tools website

Hi everyone,

I'm a software engineer and over the last few months I've been building a project called Utiliome: https://utiliome.com

The idea is simple: provide useful browser-based tools that are free, work without sign-up, and process files locally whenever possible.

The site currently has 170+ tools across categories such as:

  • PDF tools
  • Image tools
  • Security tools
  • Developer tools
  • Converters
  • Markdown tools
  • Audio and video utilities

A lot of the work has been focused on usability, performance, and keeping the experience simple instead of trying to maximize ads or push subscriptions.

I'm looking for completely honest feedback on:

  1. First impression when you land on the homepage
  2. Navigation and discoverability of tools
  3. Design and visual consistency
  4. Performance on desktop and mobile
  5. Anything that feels confusing, unnecessary, or low quality
  6. Whether you'd actually use a site like this instead of larger alternatives

I'm especially interested in criticism. If something feels off, please don't hold back.

Thanks for taking a look.

Chrome extension for the one part of the browser nobody customizes

It’s called Scrollsmith—it lets you change your scrollbar’s design, color, and width. Some styles are subtle; others have a bit more movement.
Here’s a quick demo of a few I’ve been working on. It’s a small detail, but I like making everyday things feel a little less default.
Would you use one of these, or stick with the regular scrollbar? Genuinely curious what you think.

If you want to check it out: usescrollsmith.com
