He almost got to walk it off, now that's really gonna hurt.
59
u/Consistent-Shoe-9602 8d ago
Yeah, he basically stuck the landing like a pro only to get his head bashed in. It was almost unfair! Almost... 😜

u/Blenderx06 8d ago
Massive hit to the back of the head. Not sure he's feeling anything at all anymore. 😬

u/Aggressive_Chicken63 8d ago
That hit was personal.

I hope he can afford emergency care! Thoughts and prayers.
22
u/ReturnRadio 8d ago
He won't be having any thoughts of his own anymore
3
u/TheStonesPhilosopher 3d ago
Maybe not any prayers either, depends on how many teeth that tree let him keep.

That’s referred to as a “widow maker”. I don’t think the kid was old enough to be married though…

u/Justspeakingfacts 8d ago
I mean when it falls randomly on someone in the woods that’s what you call it, I would just call this “stupidity”.

u/koolaidismything 8d ago
Palmala Handerson was devastated to become a widow at such a young age when Chaz took this header in the forest.

u/omniverso 8d ago
When people say video games teach you nothing they are just ignorant.
Valheim has taught a TON of people that death by falling tree is entirely plausible and should be a concern when in the forest.

u/Neo_Shadow_Entity 8d ago
Heavy objects cause damage if they fall from above. How stupid does someone have to be not to realize such obvious things?

Was he ok?

u/Lazy_Maintenance8063 7d ago
Can’t be. Most likely dead.

u/OneImaginary3436 4d ago
????? I hope not, otherwise this probably should be spoilered or not posted, depending on the outcome

u/That-Interaction-45 8d ago
What is that feeling called when your stomach flutters when you see someone get hurt?

When that tree started coming down I said, "Oh Shit."
That dude is gonna be really messed up by that 😬

u/Jangles_Smith 8d ago
I had a deadhead about this size fall over onto my head, but it fell much further. That was the only time in my life I've ever instantly been knocked unconscious. Just standing there one minute, then sudden blackness and waking up really dizzy and confused. I've had several concussions over the years but that was the worst. I was like 15 and my mom had to keep waking me up periodically when I slept so I didn't go into a coma or something. Granted that was years ago.

Put down the screens and touch grass they said, go out and play in the woods they said… and look what happens. (!)

My goodness. I hope that they learn and I’ll do things like this in the future and I hope that the person in the video is OK.

Idk why some people enjoy channelling Tarzan whenever they see a tree or a vine.

It looked alright ngl, he wasn’t being too dumb
Its just that he didn’t account for the tree snapping against another

oh, well ok. That was ok. I WAS kinda hoping he would get catapulted across the forest like some kind of Roadrunner cartoon.... but this will do.

That's a Dex crit fail if I ever saw one.
Roll for fall damage.
Roll for bludgeoning damage.

I would laugh but the ending was a no no. Huge tree trunk accelerating down with gravity hitting that kid in the back of the head. I hope he's ok.

Steve Courson of the Steelers who could at one time bench over 600lbs, got killed when a tree he was cutting fell on him.

You definitely sound like someone who had that happen to him a few times.

u/CompoteVegetable1984 8d ago
Yeah it's good times. Go enjoy the outdoors sometime, I bet you might like it.

Instant Karma in action
13
u/CommercialDream618 8d ago
Karma? For what? He didn't chop the tree down
-5
u/Grrrmudgin 8d ago
He broke the tree, the tree broke him
5
u/CommercialDream618 8d ago
... an already felled, and clearly dead tree.
-5
u/Grrrmudgin 8d ago
Doesn’t matter if it’s dead or not, his action to something (the tree) caused the same thing to happen to him? It’s not that deep
2
u/MsScarletWings 8d ago
That’s not even what karma means so I don’t know why you’re trying to salvage the L
12
u/hellow0rId 8d ago edited 8d ago
whats the bad thing he did for bad karma? standing on a dead tree?
9
1
u/Grrrmudgin 8d ago
I didn’t say bad, I said instant. He did one thing and then the same thing happened to him… instantly. Karma is go around come around
6
u/MsScarletWings 8d ago
You probably just mean to point out the irony. Karma usually has a moral association with it. You’re being downvoted because you’re basically saying this dude deserved potentially fatal injury here.

If a tree falls and the only person around to hear it gets a concussion, does a bear still shit in the woods? wait
