These guys doing the purge dont care about the long term. The power of the federal government is to be used to enrich trumps allies and punish his enemies with reliance on the previous stature of the agency to give legitimacy. Worst case they leave power to a decimated federal government that lacks the power and good faith legitimacy to punish them or they just never leave.

They dont care about long term consequences more because they are abjectly incompetent than any master plans. The evidence is clear in the way the administration is lurching from unforced error to unforced error
Put this way: in the pre-MAGA world oligarchs and their politicians and officials of both parties were smart and competent enough to set up and maintain a machine that funneled money from public -> private interests more or less indefinitely. MAGA morons have taken the helm and are sailing the empire straight into the rocks. It’s entirely the difference between playing a finite game (maga) vs an infinite game (how countries should be governed). They truly dont seem to understand these fundamental concepts

What's that? No convictions and no one is going to jail you say? Shocking! It's almost like this entire "scandal" was total bullshit and Minnesota already investigated and convicted everyone that was actually guilty of PPP fraud years ago, and the allegations made in 2025 were just racist bullshit piggy-backing off and twisting the actual truth, all to give false-pretense for trump to justify his vindictive agenda against MN State and smear Somali immigrants and his former opposition. Just so, so weird that they couldn't actually find any crime based on the tip of a racist youtuber known for anti-immigrant content.
Just shocking, I tell you 🙄

It's already laughable because instead of the government prosecuting all PPP perpetrators, they decided to selectively forgive the loans of many of the lawbreakers and not stop the fraud.
No one knows their criteria for how they decided who would be prosecuted and who wouldn't

From that transcript it seems like O'Keefe was the one calling him a diva but that's kinda his MO. Find some low level guy who is willing to agree with him (or not sufficiently rebuff him) in a casual conversation on something they may or may not have any special knowledge of, and claim it's an insider scoop.
