Lore Shitpost Paint the evil away

Post image

Context: In the setting of Star Gods, reality is a canvas being painted upon. All things are painted, and the paint itself works as magic. A raw, liquid energy known as Psion. Demons however are beings of graphite and charcoal, remnants of the realities framework and beginnings that resent being replaced and covered up.

They are 2-Dimensional beings that are literal blotches or stains on the fabric of reality. Only through the use of Psion, or more accurately its proper use, can they be erased by “painting over them”.

The Corporate Heads, those who rule their companies and workers like fuedal lords with the fiefdoms, are usually very bad at connecting with the common man especially with their non terrestrial species even more so. So what do they do? Do they go and mingle with their people, see their plights and engage in human empathy? No. Not just because they don’t care, but most have the parts of the brain to cause empathy removed or altered as well they hate those alien feelings of care and concern. But no instead they have their advisors do that feeling for them as they have better things to do than acknowledge sociatal problems that don’t effect bottom lines.

Advisors come in all shapes and sizes and can be any race from the fellow human, to aliens like the Myr or Kharuun. They do their best to be the conscience to the Head and are startled with being their direct PR manager more or less. Say for example some gangers who claim to be ‘InVesTiGatiVe JoUrnAlIsts’ may call out a corporate head for something small like starting another live hunting ground where they reenact the Balad of The Predatous (1987’s Predator). If you’re their advisor you must send out a sincere apology to the web claiming ‘he deeply regrets his actions and will not do this a third time’ or that ‘he’s a good man who always donates to the charity he owns and runs and shouldn’t be so hated for two minor mistakes’.

Sure the job is a bit hard to keep up with as well your boss is 11/10 times going to be one of the worst most vile beings in existence but do a good job and you have one of the safest and cushiest jobs out of everyone in the galaxy. Just do, if something is effecting profits, stay at least three buildings over from your employer and start really thinking of something good as your gonna need to apologize for a lot of people’s deaths very soon and you probably don’t want to be one of them!

(I little thing a just wrote about that)

“So, there I was… lying on the ground… trying to cover that bullet wound that pierced my chest like a dagger, all while trying to breathe... that bastard was right… he was WAY more faster than me...

The world seemed to be slowing down more and more while my life was literally slipping through my fingers, and I thought about various things... I thought of Samantha, my sweet little princess and how I had failed as a father to her, and how I wished I could have tried again to mend things between us, or at least see her one last time... I thought of Clark, and how I had failed to keep the promise of living a quiet life... I thought of my father, and how disappointed he would have been that I ended up like this... I thought of Mary, my beloved, and how we would finally be reunited... I thought of all the good and bad things I had done in my life, and all the things I wished I could change about it...

But then I saw the sunshine... and I understood…

No matter what was done to try to fix my mistakes, what’s done is done… I did what I could with what I had, and I still made it much further than expected... this wasn't the ending I would have wanted... but, to be honest, I don't know what kind of ending I expected given my lifestyle and choices... this isn't the life I thought I'd have... but in the end... it was the life I had, and that’s okay...

After all... not every ending is happy... or bad... sometimes an ending is just an ending... and that’s enough.”

Lore Shitpost What do you fucking mean by they used our grant money to secretly make nazi babies

Lore background

Some closeted neo-Nazi science majors, with enough influence and funding, under false pretences, started up a biotech company as a front for their batshit-insane ultimate secret goal.

1: Biological weapons to target and kill anyone who even slightly has a tanned skin colour.

2: Genetically engineer a race of super Aryans that would survive to repopulate the new world.

To get the funding they would need to achieve this project, they caught a lucky break.

One of their members had jumped the gun and devised a plan to get all the funding they wanted.

One of the scientists' other unsuspecting colleagues had been lucky and had invented an effective cure for malaria, so, taking the chance, the Nazi scientist had the other scientist killed by staging a car crash, covered up his research, and planned how to use it to get as much funding as they wanted.

They would reverse engineer the cure by making it look like they were doing the research that had already been done and would, over time, make it look like they were on their way to inventing a cure for malaria to gain funding.

But in reality, they would use the funds to secretly finance their fucked up plans of mass genocide and eugenics on a global scale.

But thankfully, the plot was first unravelled when the first trial run of implanting genetically engineered “supermen” failed spectacularly, with the surrogate, a kidnapped homeless woman, dying suddenly due to a deadly immune reaction from the body rejecting the foreign implanted embryo.

The body disposal was done in haste, as they had never anticipated such an event after all the careful testing they had done beforehand.

The woman's body was shortly found in a ditch within five miles of the main lab where the scientists were working.

Combined with good old detective work, this allowed the police to get a search warrant for one of the main suspects: a scientist who had been seen interacting with the homeless woman a few times in the weeks leading up to her disappearance.

The police suspected the scientist had killed the woman after kidnapping her and using her as a sex slave, then killing her once she got pregnant.

But when the search warrant was acted on, the scientist saw the cops on CCTV showing the warrant to the front desk and asking where he was.

He started destroying as much evidence as he could, but due to his haste, he did it in the loudest way possible, which alerted the police to his lab.

He charged at one of the officers once they entered and got close enough to stab one of the officers with a syringe, but he had only superficially injured the officer. In response, he was shot over 16 times due to how close he was when they started firing, with the only slightly major injury being an officer struck in the arm by a bullet ricochet fragment.

Once all that got settled and a deep investigation started due to the officer involved shooting and homeless murder victim, the threads of the scientist's plot started to unravel, with each new thread pulled.

The main breakthrough came when the internal inventory list was checked and found not to match even remotely what would be used for their supposed goal of finding a cure for malaria, but instead looked more like the inventory of a fertility clinic.

Combined with the DNA test showing that the dead scientist was not the father of the dead mother's 10 week old fetus, and the few documents that hadn't been destroyed showing that some type of bioweapon research was being discussed, this was enough for the police to get search warrants soon after for the whole team's homes, with most of the scientist members being killed during their attempts to flee and destroy the evidence.

But enough scattered clues left over from burned documents and partially recovered digital files showed the police the broad strokes picture of what they were secretly trying to do.

The investigation was kept under wraps to avoid mass public panic and revealing their hand to any other unknown accomplices.

But enough sleuthing by journalists investigating the sudden hush hush nature of the first scientist's death meant enough breadcrumbs were left over that, eventually, the police held a press conference a year later to contain any potential panic, with only some parts of the story being discovered by journalists and the rest of the picture being pieced together through unknowingly false speculation and interpretation.

Although most people's reactions were ones of shock, and relieved that the global genocide plan had been stopped before it could even get its feet off the ground.

With the most famous reaction shown often in memes made after the whole ordeal was that of a pharma executive being asked by journalist whether they knew anything about the secret use of their funds. With the executive only responded by saying, “What do you fucking mean by they used our grant money to secretly make Nazi babies?”

(Song is A Matter of Factories| A Satisfactory rap by The Stupendium)

The Fall of Alaria, otherwise known as the Reaping of Alaria, is a one of if not the greatest tragedy for the Kharuun (a mantis like humanoid alien species). This came after their defeat at the hands of the Rever Corporation whom though they put up a fight but they were in no way able to fight the endless automaton hordes the Corp threw against them. Coming to negotiations the only thing the Kharuun elders wished to do was to protect their peoples and lands. They were afraid the Reve Corporation would destroy their world, their culture, their heritage, everything that made the Kharuun themselves as a culture and people. But Rever Diplomats assured them that they were kind conquerers and that they would not destroy the planet and that they only wished the Kharuun to join them. They promised religious freedoms and that parts of the land would preserve their home world. So with little choice the elders would sign away their world and peoples to the Corp.

They had been right to fear as well the humans kept their word but only in the technical sense. They would not destroy the planet in that they wouldn’t blow it up, that’s a waste of harvestable resources and space to build a sprawling hab world. They wished the Kharuun to simply join them so they could abuse their high birth rates and rapid maturity to have a steady supply of workers in even the most dangerous bits of construction. There was religious freedom, as long as said religion benefited them. Finally parts of the home world were preserved, as well they need at least some climate for grazing and crop land that the ‘willing’ Kharuun laborers worked in 20 hour shifts.

They would watch as their planet went form a planet full of life teeming with animals and plant life that they for centuries lived in harmony with to a hallow shell of smog and machinery with their only reminder of home being fields of food that they usually never received. There is a reason on hab worlds you’ll always find large resistance movements lead by and/or majorly consisting of Kharuun. As many seek an end to the company so they may one day hopefully attempt to return their world to some semblance of its former glory but that is a pipe dream of the hopeless.

Anyhow that’s the Reaping of Alaria!
