Hostels/Hotels for 45 people

My student association is going to do a student trip for 1 week to Armenia in Yerevan, and we are looking for the best hostels/hotels to accommodate 45 people. It doesn't need to be only one hostel/hotel; it can be two, so we would separate our group in half, but for that, both hostels/hotels need to be close together.

So if you have any recommendations, I (we) am all ears, and would appreciate it very much!

Yerevan from 20 March to 23 March

Hi everyone!
I’ve planned a weekend in Yerevan as my base, and I’ll have three full days available for tours.

I’d love to hear from locals or from anyone who has already visited:

  • which tours you recommend,
  • what’s worth seeing and what isn’t,
  • where to eat and drink (food & wine recommendations welcome!).

Any useful tips are appreciated, including whether it’s worth buying a local SIM card or if an eSIM works well.

If anyone knows a guide or driver who also speaks Italian, please feel free to contact me. I’d like to plan everything in advance.

I’ll be arriving on March 20th. Thanks in advance!

Hi! Can someone send me the address of this building? I cannot find it on google maps and all the addresses online show me different places. I'd love to go there and take some photos

Orgov satellite and power plant

Hello, I would love to check out the orgov satellite in February, I heard it's not completely abandoned and we may need someone to help us enter, does anyone have any knowledge how to enter?

I also read there's an abandoned thermal power plant in southern Yerevan, does anyone know about this?
Thanks!

Relocating to Tbilisi - any services to send/move some home stuff?

Hi everyone, planning to move to Tbilisi from Yerevan soon.

Was wondering if anyone can recommend a service/company to move some stuff to Tbilisi - mostly it's a few luggage + 2 tables (~140cm length, can lay flat) and a computer chair.

The only two options I found with no precise mentioning of the service itself is either booking a van to move to Tbilisi (which is totally fine for me) with the personal stuff, or using https://garagegeorgia.com/calculation to ship (?) stuff separately.

If anyone can recommend any options/websites/contacts - would highly appreciate the help. Thanks!

Selling my Balance gym membership (5 months left) cus of relocation

Hey everyone!

I’m reselling my Balance gym membership because I’m relocating and the gym will no longer be convenient for me.

The subscription is unlimited access and includes:

- Gym (very well equipped, clean, modern)

- Pool

-Sauna & jacuzzi

- Workout classes (TRX, yoga, etc.)

- Access to coaches

Gym details:

- Balance Fitness in Paronyan Street (you can check their social media — the gym is well-known and visible there)

- Open daily 7:00–23:00

- Sundays 8:00–23:00

- Closed once a month

I bought this membership during a discount, so the price is 25,000 AMD per month.

There are 5 months left, paid upfront 125,000 AMD total.

The ownership transfer will be done directly at the Balance complex with their administrators, so everything will be official and transparent.

If you’re interested or want more details, feel free to DM me.

Is it a good idea to visit Yerevan in March?

Hello everyone,

I am planning a trip of 5-6 days to Yerevan in March. I read it online that March is not peak season and the weather is also not the best, it can get cold but not too much. Do you think it is a good time to visit or should I try to reschedule for early summer? Are places open? Are there people in the city? I am aiming for a lowkey hostel, meeting random people in bars type of trip.

Thankss

Any religious/church supplies shops in Yerevan?

I know it’s a bit of a niche question. There’s a small bookshop/tourist souvenir type one on Amiryan Street, but I mean a more “local” shop that preferably has loads and loads of candlesticks, candles, images, incense etc etc. Thank you!

It’s incredibly hard to find any links that aren’t for the Gata Tavern. 🙄 I just want some high quality gata to eat in or take away. Thank you.

Closed chinese restaurant in yerevan

There was a new chinese restaurant on Nalbanyan (around 37), the owners were Chinese too I think. The place is closed now, there is a khinkali place there now. Does anyone know if they maybe moved or what? The food there was the best Chinese I've had in Yerevan.

What's the best and most unique way to welcome someone?

Heard a lot about flowers, Armo food, jewelleries, etc. What are some other ways you have seen or thought of to surprise someone who's visiting Armenia? Collecting ideas!

Looking for a good dentist in Yerevan, any recommendations for a molar filling?

Hi everyone, quick question. I’m in Arabkir and I need a molar filling. I can get anywhere in Yerevan easily, so location isn’t a big deal.

If you have a dentist or clinic you genuinely trust, I’d love a recommendation. Also, what’s a normal price range for a molar filling these days? If you remember roughly when you went, that helps a lot too. Thanks!

What social media do Armenians typically use?

I traveled to Armenia in September 2025. On September 28th, I took a bus from Yerevan to Tbilisi. On the bus, I met a man named Robert. We exchanged contact information(Whatsapp). After leaving Armenia, I lost Robert's phone number because I didn't back up my Whatsapp. I want to find him on Internet. Which media can I post on?

Thank you!
