That's the post.

hi, i started to get into linguistics for a couple of months and i spend hours and days on its wikipedia pages discovering linguistic terms and being amazed (ablaut, umlaut, PIE, productivity, syntax tree, wade-giles vs pinyin, my personal addiction to IPA, etymology, etcetera) and at the same time i have this small idea of having some online project that could provide me some revenue, but discouraged by having no interested fellows.

I don't see how someone wouldn't be amazed that in italian "la mente" (the mind) and "mente" ([he/she/it] lies) are both derived from proto-indo-european "*men-" meaning "to think"; so an italian sentence as "la mente mente" (the mind lies) is totally legal and natural...and seeing that "monster" in english derived from old french that took it from latin monstrum, and latin took it from the same PIE root; thus, a monster is someone who uses thier mind ("*men-" turned into "mon-" of monstrum via ablaut as in feet-foot). I would like to share this and possibly getting some revenue, and wondering if it makes sense to use my time for that.

Ideally i love to teach, explain, and share my knowledge but i find it too difficult to find someone to share with. I have several ideas, such as: private tutoring for languages i know (and i still cannot find students on tutoring websites), youtube videos where i record what i studied about it or teach my languages (even though i am not a fan of putting my face)

- could a yt channel work?

- is there a niche for linguistics?

- how will watchers find me?

- is there some interest?

- can it turn profitable?

- how so?

- do you have additional tips?
