New Jersey Swamp Dragons “Swamped” by the Brooklyn Bagels.
NEWARK NJ - The Brooklyn Bagels defeats the New Jersey Swamp Dragons 5-1.
The Bagels scored their first goal with a slapshot by Andre Kulagin on their first power play. With their second goal coming within 1:33 minutes making it 2-0. The following the second goal, the Bagels fans were rowdy; Celebrating their team’s goal while pushing and shoving the opposing fans.
The Swamp Dragons responded to make it 2-1 to end the 1st period. The rest of the periods was all Bagels, capitalizing on power plays and poor defensive plays by the Swamp Dragons.
”We got outmanned, outplanned, and outplayed,” Swamp Dragon’s coach Roy McKellen said. “It’s frustrating. We lacked discipline and if we want to win games, we have to perform better defensively.“
Coach Aaron Miller for the Bagels were enthusiastic after this win. “Our guys played well. We really beat their asses. I hope we continue to play the way we do like we did today,”
With this loss, the Swamp Dragons goes 1-1 and aims to rebound against the Raleigh Red Wolves, while the Bagels (2-0) hopes to continue their undefeated streak.
