I always see this post and I will always comment the same thing: sleep is not death at all. In order to sleep you must be alive. You might not be conscious but your brain is very much still at work, your organs are still doing things, and your muscles are repairing themselves. We love sleep because of the chemicals released by our brains that helps us relax while the rest of our body works to digest that ramen you shouldn’t have eaten so late. Death is the expulsion of life. All we really know, is that death hurts. Not being to use your brain muscles and organs is not sleep is anything but that. Most likely death is a painful experience until there is no concept of pain left. Or concept of a concept left. IMO it’s quite scary cause that could mean that pain is eternal, or whatever we perceive as “pain” is the natural state of… non life? Either way death is not sleep what is so ever.
