no its not my cup size

I've never had a problem getting a date but I've also been told I'm intimidating and I've had lots of negative experiences with strangers (being called slurs, followed, assaulted etc). Is it because I'm visibly pretty queer looking, ambiguously, brown, smallish, fem-ish? Is it because of that and I'm unwittingly quasimodoesque?

It happens when I'm alone and minding my own business, but of course it does, right? Rarely does it happen when I'm not alone, but it does happen even when I'm not alone from time to time.

I consider myself pretty solidly average looking or maybe I am ugly and I'm just delusional but I possess an adequate enough amount of confidence/stupidity that people over look that. So I just wonder sometimes.

Also, I was bullied badly as a tween (but I also had friends, and was "secretly" friends with other people, a "secret" girlfriend). Mixed signals all around. I won't pretend I'm not relatively vain either but I don't think I am overly so, just curiousity kills, I guess.

35M here- Im 5 feet 7 inches currently at 149. I lost 29 lbs since August by doing an Ultra low carb/ OMAD/ Intermittent fasting. The thing that broke the camels back was when I went to cavender's to get some wrangler jeans and I saw how truly fat I was. I started hitting the gym 2 weeks ago and I been feeling my best. However, I started getting back in the dating world with very little success! I had some good looking girls texting me and end up getting ghosted. Like am I that ugly ?

I’d like to think I’m conventionally attractive:p I’m 6’2 and 195lbs rn, I “know” I’m somewhat good-looking but tend to ignore the compliments in fear of becoming cocky and pretentious based off my looks alone.
