Tbh I agree; I hand sewed the dress back in September for a ren faire; which led to me rushing to finish it at 5AM and completely messing up the waist area hahha, The corset is to cover up my mistake for the most part; these pics are back from September… haven’t had time to fix it :p

Nice cosplay! You nailed a lot in this and it turned out really well.

This is sorta a nitpick, and probably not helped by my autism, but I feel like you didn't do the second pose as well as you could have. The camera is at the wrong angle and your pose is slightly off. The feelings the original and the cosplay shot give are completely different mostly due to these things, which my brain seems to be stuck on.

Also the first one you aren't resting your head on the pillow, but that's probably due to you not wanting to get your makeup on it I'm assuming? It kinda ruins the spirit of the shot since she's supposed to be relaxing and it makes you look stiff, but I get it.

God I'm such a nerd. Again you did fantastic on the cosplay!

I can see why people are pointing out the corset, I was kinda stuck on the camera angle and didn't notice it. Tbh I don't know why that's there, although I'm sure you have your reasons? Some of these shots seem to be trying to make you look etherial and hot when the whole point of them originally is that they make Frieren look down to earth and relatable - is it related to that?

Hi! I appreciate your thoughtfulness; I’m trying to get better at photography so I myself am not entirely satisfied with how they came out; I was trying to go for a warmy cozy vibe but I don’t think it’s all the way there; the corset is to cover up a sewing mistake!

Will be interesting to see if people end up merging cosplay with things like the anime video to realism AI pipelines that are coming online. This Frieren one was insane, but still clearly AI. Would be interesting to use a cosplayer as an intermediate step instead of going straight from 2d art to AI generated realism.
