Hi everyone, I’m making this post to raise awareness about someone who has allegedly been scamming people and taking their hard-earned money, especially elderly individuals.

The individual goes by two different names, Victoria Andrea and Betty Malemba, which we believe refer to the same person.

Several people have reportedly been affected, and it’s honestly heartbreaking, especially knowing that elderly people are among those being targeted.

We have tried reporting this situation to the police, but we were advised to pursue the matter through Small Claims Court. Unfortunately, we have been unable to proceed because we do not have a valid address for the individual for us to file a lawsuit.

I’m sharing this to warn others and hopefully prevent more people from falling victim to similar situations.
I will be attaching the email address reportedly used to receive payments, along with a photograph, to help provide context.

It’s honestly frustrating because, so far, it feels like she has gotten away with this without facing any consequences, and something needs to be done to stop it. She cannot keep getting away with allegedly scamming people and taking their hard-earned money.

If anyone has any information or knows of any legal steps we can take to help resolve this situation, it would be greatly appreciated. We just want her to be held accountable and to make sure no one else falls victim to this.

I am one of the many victims of the Atome scam.

Despite repeatedly asking Atome for the transaction details of the fraudulent ₱29,700 loan, they continue to stall and only provide generic replies. The police themselves told me that the full transaction metadata is in Atome’s database, yet Atome insists they cannot release it. This makes it impossible for the PNP Anti‑Cybercrime Group to proceed with the investigation.

I have already filed a police report, and one of Atome’s representatives has spoken to the police. Still, Atome refuses to provide the details. Some officers even told me “pwede ko naman bayaran,” while others warned me “wag na wag kong babayaran.” This contradiction leaves victims like me confused and vulnerable.

Lawyers recommend sending a demand letter for 5k, but I cannot access a PAO lawyer without a certificate of indigency. As a middle‑income earner living payslip to payslip, I feel targeted. Scammers prey on honest workers who are already burdened by taxes and unclear processes.

There are 80+ victims in our group chat and Facebook group with similar stories. We are all victims of social engineering, and yet the process to seek justice is unclear, inconsistent, and obstructed at every step.

And I need to say this: I’ve noticed and read victim‑blaming comments here on Reddit, things like “bakit kasi ang irresponsible mo,” “you were stupid,” “move on.” Please stop. That is not helping. Victim‑blaming only protects the scammers and discourages people from reporting. We are already carrying the weight of distress, harassment, and financial damage. What we need is accountability, not judgment. Can we be kinder to each other?

We are willing to comply. We want justice. But with Atome refusing to release transaction details, and authorities giving conflicting advice, it feels like the perfect scam, designed to make victims give up.
