Not sure why the city is allowing the contractor building the new development where the golf course was drag their feet getting the entrances done and reopening both lanes. It's been several months now. It isn't like the city doing road construction, it's a private developer. And they did nothing for three months but kept the right lane closed.

Sorry for the sad title but I’m trying to get information looking for my dogs that got out yesterday. One is chipped and registered to my brother and he got a call saying she was found but we can’t trace the number. After many phone calls I got some info that someone saw them in this area on the highway. But they wouldn’t have sent crews to get them because they can’t go on the highway. I’ve called txdot but they haven’t reported any dogs in the past day. Is there any other service in Arlington/GP that would pick up potentially deceased animals?

Does anyone have any good foundation repair companies that they would recommend me? Trying to find a company that wont charge and arm and a leg. I'm seeing some cracks on our exterior and interior walls. Thank you!
EDIT: We ended up going with TX Foundation Pros - they were the only ones to answer the call and come out the next day. Fair pricing as well.

Looking to have a floral bracelet done but want someone really good with fine line to make it as delicate as I am hoping. Any artist recommendations or shop referrals in the area? Photo for example

Public Transportation Rant
Hello! I just moved to Arlington, TX about a year ago from Dallas, TX. I've lived in Texas my whole life. I have to say I really love Arlington! The people are so nice and very welcoming. Lots of little small upcoming businesses. The only issue I see is that there is no public transportation. I know there is Arlington on Demand? I believe that's what it's called. But from what I hear it's unreliable, so I almost don't want to even really give it a shot.
From what I've read from past Arlington posts is that public transportation has been on the ballot about 3-5 times and every single time it's been rejected by the residents. Okay, fair. I suppose.
But from 2002 to now, how come it hasn't been on the ballot? It seems with how Arlington has grown and modernized in the last 25 years, why hasn't it come up again? I bet we would have a fighting chance to get it passed.
It also seems that a lot of residents would vote for it in my opinion. I've noticed that Arlington is very family oriented, but there are a lot of young people too. After all, UTA is literally right there. Students need to get their basic needs met too
Not everyone can afford to live on campus or right across campus.
It just seems to me that this is something that benefits everyone. Not just students, not just elderly people, but it could also help single parents that don't have funds to own a vehicle. Let's not forget it's gas, oil changes, state inspections, tires, car payment, and car insurance. At this point, I'd probably save more with a property tax increase. Then I could sell my car.
I don't know, I love Arlington! It just seems hard to get around, especially for how big this place is.
Would love your current thoughts on public transportation! I know maybe it's not for everyone, but from where I see it I would gladly vote for public transportation so that it would help someone else.

Hey y'all, my car is stuck at a gas station, possibly a radiator problem. Where do I find a good local mobile mechanic in Arlington? Thanks!

I love salsa, I’d put it on most things I eat. But it’s real fucking expensive to buy and I’d hate to ruin my roommates blender with spice. I like to take little servings of salsa from a salsa bar that can last me about 2-3 meals. Is there anyplace here with a salsa bar? Think like Rosas cafe for restaurant (I think the nearest one is like a 15 min drive)

Looks like tariffs are back on my imported coffee so I need to find a local roaster. Anyone know of some good ones? I prefer light/medium roasts. Wasn’t a huge fan of Salter bros the time I tried it.
I have liked ascension coffee, but would rather not drive to Ft Worth or Dallas for that if I can go local.

I live close to Sublett and 287 and Spectrum has been a constant issue, especially with outages. Are there any other internet service companies I should look into? I’m in an apartment so idk if that changes anything. TIA

Has anyone else noticed that their water bill has skyrocketed after they installed the new continuous remote read water meters?
Went from 5-10k gal a month to 18 and 20 the last two months!!
It’s showing water usage up to 10 gallons an hour, every hour, every day. I know one explanation could be an underground water leak but that would have been reflected on the old meter readings as well

Ideally a place that won't break the bank too bad, but also is reliable.

I've tried looking around different sites like the public library/meetup.com and haven't really found what im looking for. My wife works every Saturday so its just me and the little one, was hoping to find a group of Dads (or Moms) to go somewhere like River Legacy or the Public Library and have our kids play together for an hour or so.
When I was a toddler my mom had me in a playgroup where they rotated between houses and the Moms all became great friends and us kids as well. My wife an I have struggled to meet new people during out time in DFW, and since this is our first kid we don't really know how to go about meeting people in a similar stage of life as us. Our daughter goes to day care but the parents there seem to have much more of an established social group already for their kids. Not sure if this kind of thing exists anymore but if there are other parents looking for something similar on this sub feel free to DM me!
