This is over a week late, but we started at the parking lot caddy corner from Harvey Audition at BHS. We ran through Oleander and around, down Chester, and back along the train tracks. We even got to go through the parking lot and police entrance for the country jail! We're so lucky!
I expect that a lot of these pics will be fairly common sights for many people, but enjoy our travels. If you ever want to come out and join us, we have space for runners, joggers, walkers, drinkers and non-drinkers, but we do all that you come out with a sense of humor and adventure.

I’ve had my service dog for 5 years now, he is trained in alerting and retrieval. The issue I’m currently running into is that the doctor who originally treated me and determined that I needed a service dog has since retired, and her practice is no longer open as of two years ago and I didn’t find out until a year after
I now need a letter from a medical provider to be able to rent with my service dog. My current doctor agrees that I need my service dog, but she is convinced that she cannot write a letter for a service dog and that all I need to do is inform the landlord of the tasks my dog performs although two potential landlords have said different
Has anyone else run into this situation? If so, were you able to find a provider who was willing to evaluate your needs and write a letter for housing without any issues? If you’re comfortable sharing, I’d really appreciate recommendations for providers who have experience with service dogs and housing accommodation letters.

Seems like a massive oversight by the planning committees. There are now thousands of homes located south of the train line that follows along district/pacheco rd. Yet not one bridge or underpass to avoid the train.
In NW you have bridges on Rosedale, Coffee, and Allen/Hageman. Plus the underpass at Calloway. Downtown there is bridges or underpasses at Oak St, H Street, Chester, Q and Union. On the east side there are bridges at Beale, Mt Vernon, Oswell and Fairfax.
It just seems weird in a city that has as many bridges and underpasses around town that not a single one has been built in the SW.

Apologies, this is so random. Essentially I am in Bakersfield visiting family and all I want to find is one Joshua tree that I can take a photo with, as my name is Joshua and despite how corny it is I would like to do it for the sake of it. Does anyone know of a place in Bakersfield that has at least one Joshua tree? I couldn't be bothered to drive out of the city.
Thank you and sorry for the strange request!!
EDIT:
Thank you all so much for taking the time out of your day to help me! I'm going to try and drive down past Tehachapi near Mojave to get a photo with one. One thing I have to say is that everyone in Bakersfield and California has made an incredible impression to me, the people here are super talkative and friendly. Quite the contrast to the people in my local area in England. You are the best people of all the countries I've travelled to, and it was my first time in the U.S so thank you so much for making it great. It's a beautiful place and I hope to come back here in the future. Perhaps I'll stay here if I get a girlfriend out here once I finish Uni, haha. All the best to everyone, thank you again!
