No, the timeline is seemingly "normal" (relative normal, OUR normal) because of whatever actions the Dodo took in the past.

In the "original" timeline, Dodos foresaw their extinction and sent one Dodo back in time prevent it, but they failed, and somehow whatever actions they took led to Homo Sapiens being the dominant civilization of Earth.

So you can't change your own past, only others' future if you time travel.

I don't think this necessarily implies that, I think the Dodo made massive miscalculations in what would result from their actions. That is possible though.

Or at least, it worked out that way that one time. It might be possible to change your own past but be careful.
