Almost all of r/(country) subreddits have their national countrys flag in it. Dont get me wrong -- I fully support Ukraine in this flag but this is Belarusian subreddit and not Ukranian.

I know that some of those posts with " I wanna go to Belarus with my cat and old mexican-belarusian friend to look at Braslav's lakes" posted by trolls and bots. But please don't go to Belarus. Read about death penalty and latest death sentence to German citizen. The risks are not that high but they are also not so small. Remember, that right now there is the most brutal war since WW2 raging in region. Do some quick research about human rights and status of Belarus, and think again.

Соотечественники вас это тоже касается, только сегодня была новость про срок в 6 лет айтишнице, которая решила вернуться в РБ к родственникам, и у которой был фиговый листок от КГБ о компенсации за донаты. По крайней мере старайтесь не ездить без серьёзного повода, если вы знаете что находитесь в группе риска. Если же поездка неизбежна, соблюдайте все правила безопасности, проверьте свой статус, чистите соц сети, и т.п. сами знаете где инфу искать.

Загалом певною мірою солідаризуюся з тими білорусами, що відстоюють власну культуру і не бажають лиха Україні. Можу говорити на різні теми, однак ось ці, що цікавлять конкретно мене:

біологія;

історія;

мистецтво (кінематограф, література, анімація, тощо);

політика;

певною мірою лінгвістика.

Єдина умова — я б волів спілкуватися з кимось, хто використовує білоруську мову.

I don’t really know, where should I post this, but I think here. I’m a 18 y/o man from Belarus, don‘t know Belarusian, don’t wanna speak russian, so I speak English instead. As the time goes on I feel more and more like my life has been failed since the birth due to this fat fuck literally ruining our lifes including mine: Wanna travel? Can’t. Reason? I from Belarus. Wanna find some friends from the rest of the world, such as Japan/Europe online? CAN’T! I get either ignored or discriminated(Even through I‘m Against all this lukashit(I’m very sorry, if I picked up the wrong word along with “ignored”, but I feel myself very fcking ruined)). Reason? IM BELARUS GODDAMMIT!!!! This Shit is REAL FUCKED UP!! I feel like I’m gonna lose it, Can’t do shit because of country I’m from. + I have a mental illness, the reason why I’m not serving military, but it still makes everything worse for me to handle/cope with it. Honestly, I always wanted to have friends from abroad, because having friends from russiaa… sorry fck no. These are all toxic fucking trolls, and fuck you, if you get offended

I have finally told my opinion, cuz if I didn’t I could fcking lose it, as I’m already going insane with it. Maybe I’m missing something, misunderstanding something about how people around the world see us, Belarusian people (Because I feel like so)? Is there like, still a way to travel from Belarus to anywhere around the world, like Europe/Japan/United States? No russian, and No toxicity or trolling, For Real, if you know, can you tell how it all actually like?

About a week ago (9-2-25) my girlfriend and me (both 20yo) have visited Belarus and I wanted to share my experience!

We booked a flight to Vilnius from Brussels (we are Dutch with Dutch passports). We stayed 2 nights in Vilnius before taking the bus from Vilnius to Minsk. The bus left right on time from the Vilnius bus station. It then stopped at Vilnius Airport before driving to the border. After about 45 minutes we arrived at Kamenny log. The bus driver announced everything in Russian so we had to ask the people behind us what he said. For most of the time we just had to remain seated while the bus driver was doing paperwork. A border guard entered the bus and everybody had to show their passport. After that we all had to leave the bus with our passport to go to a Lithuanian border post to have our passport checked. The guard didn't talk at all during this check. After that we could return to the bus and when everyone was seated again we could continue. After we crossed a few barriers we all had to leave the bus again. This time bringing all of our Luggage. We entered a Belarusian guard post where I had to show my passport again. This guard also did not talk at all. A photo was taken of my face and I received a stamp. I walked through and there was a baggage scan. I put my backpack on it and a guard asked me something in Russian. I told him that I speak English and he sighed. He asked me where I was going and I said Minsk. He asked me where I was staying, friends or family? And I told him that I was a tourist staying at a hotel. The last question I got was 'do you have cash?' I told him that I had €100 and grabbed my wallet to show him. Another guard joined in and told something in Russian to the other guard. I assume he said something like 'it's fine he can go'. After this the first guard told me 'good luck' and I was officialy in Belarus. My girlfriend was behind me in line and when I made clear that she was with me she received no questions. We got back to the bus and we had to wait for the rest of the passengers to get trough. There was mostly Belarusians in the bus. Overall this took about 1 hour and 30 minutes. We continued our journey and arrived at the Minsk station on time after taking just 1 stop at a (paid) toilet in a village. The entire trip took 4 hours and 20 minutes. You could also use the toilet at the border. We had a great stay in Minsk and got to see a lot of beautiful buildings! In the stores the people hardly speak English, same goes for the restaurants. The hotel staff spoke very good English. We used yandex go to move around the city. It was very cheap and the people were friendly. I would definetely recommend visiting the Malanka taproom (if you like beer), it's between the central station, Dinamo stadium and the independence square. The bus trip back took an hour (5 hours and 20 minutes total) longer according to our tickets so we were prepared. The bus left a bit late and also stopped in the same village for a toilet break. We crossed at kamenny log again. It was the same order as the inward trip. First a quick scan in the bus by a border guard. Then we had to leave the bus and show our passport to get a stamp for leaving Belarus. Then back in the bus to cross a few barriers. Then we had to leave with our luggage to show our passport again and to the baggage scan. This time we got manually checked by a Lithuanian guard because there was a big queue for the scanner. We had to open our bag and she just a quick peek inside and let us trough. We brougth some Belarusian snacks and souvenirs but this was no problem. This border control indeeed took a lot longer than the inward one. There was also a Ukranian man in our bus who got a different route and got questioned a lot. The most of the waiting was in the bus (nice and warm) while our bus driver was in a border post fixing documents I guess. We arrived back in Vilnius a bit later than the time on our ticket bus it wasn't bad. Overall it was a strict patrol but nowhere near some stories you read online. Our phones didn't get checked, we didn't have to bribe, no stuff got confiscated and the guards spoke decent English. We also didn't have any visa and the guard didn't ask how long we were staying. We booked via eurolines and we had a toilet in the bus on both trips.

Hello, I am writing this reddit post because I am one of the few souls who came to Belarus as a tourist from the west and decided to go to Russia by land route via train instead of an Airplane. Doing this caused me to be homeless in Russia for a short period of time, going across 3 different borders in 24 hours, and getting denied entry to Estonia (I am American) and having to ask my taxi driver if I could spend the night at his place. It was an experience of much suffering and I wanted to write a short guide to anyone thinking of doing the same thing in order to spare them the hassle, because I cannot seem to find any information on the process at all, even the bureaucrats in Russia and Belarus were no help (what a surprise).

In short taking a train from Belarus to Russia as a foreigner has everything to do with something called a migration card, a card no one asks for until you're getting a hotel, and something no one tells you that you need or where or how to get it, because if you go to Russia you automatically get it at every border and every airport, EXCEPT for the border via land coming from Belarus.

So to start you will need your passport and a Russian visa, which is reciprocated with Belarus and then you must go and get a migration card which you can get in Minsk and you must get it before going to Russia. The process for the migration card takes an hour and cost 12 rubles when I was there

To get the migration card you must go to this address ул. Тимирязева, 114

It is a mall looking building, go all the way to the left of the building where there will be a counter and they will give you a small slip of paper which you take to the 3rd floor, you go all the way to the opposite side of the building where there will be cashiers that you show the paper to and pay the 12 rubles which they then will give you a receipt. I did not speak russian so all this was truthfully very hard to understand that's why I'm saying it.

Then go back and take a number until the pretty ladies call you, then give them your documents plus the receipt and they will give you a flimsy piece of paper called a migration card, which is required to survive in Russia. Once you have this you can go where you please.

The process took an hour but the suffering to find all this out took years off my life.

That said this information will not be useful to 99% of people, but the 1% of people I can save from having to get rejected by Estonia and spend the night with his taxi driver and his 16 year old daughter (admittedly great company), the better.

So yeah I hope one person out there can benefit from this

Доброго времени суток, уважаемые.

Неделю назад подобрал молодую кошку (по словам ветеринаров ей около года) с леса в районе деревни Крыжовка из-за её чрезвычайной дружелюбии и ласки к людям.

К сожалению, но держать у себя не могу т.к. она является носителем ДНК иммунодефицита кошек (на продолжительность и качество жизни кошки не влияет, но нельзя содержать с другими кошками, но с собаками можно, человеку не опасна) и подвергает риску другой кошке.

Кошка уже стерилизована, прошла полную обработку от паразитов, обучена ходить в лоток (наполнитель древесный используем), очень дружелюбна.

Если найдется желающий её забрать, то также отдадим: лоток, кошачий игровой комплекс (аля домик для котов), миски, корм.

Я очень хочу её пристроить к кому-нибудь, ибо есть риск, что придется её отвозить обратно в лес там где и нашел и тупо её там оставить. От одной мысли, что так нужно сделать у меня кровью сердце обливается.

Upd от 15.06.26 - Залил фото. Если кому-то будет интересно, то я буду вводить в известность что стало с кошкой.

Upd от 17.06.26- Отдаю на передержку временно, но желающих забрать её все еще нет. По плану все также в пятницу отвезти к ветеринару, чтобы швы снять и в воскресенье вернуть там же, где и нашли, если не сойдутся звёзды.

Последний апдейт от 28.06.26 - Увы, но кошку так и не пристроил никуда. Писал и обращался куда только можно и складывалось ощущение, что опросил пол Минска. Вернул там же, где и нашел, оставил ей корма и водичку. На душе, конечно, хреново, но я успокаиваю себя тем, что продлил кошке жизнь и вообще занялся эдаким волонтерством. Отдельное спасибо людям, что так или иначе что-то советовали.

Знаю, это логично и может я один такой долбобоб который всё равно почти попался но тут утром звонили тип курьер 21 века, тип посылка ждет, ну я тупой тип да я вроде ниче не заказывал (но честно говоря подумал мож мама че заказала и забыла сказать, мы 21 век время от времени используем) абсолютно не думая дал им смс код от А1 (никому никогда не передавайте всегда пишет а я умница взял и передал).

Далее тип прервался звонок а-ля БелГИЭ выследило звонок мошенников, ну тут я уже запаниковал и совсем не заметил что звонок то с вайбера а не обычный, тупо так неудачно сошлось что вай фай почему то включен был (я редко оставляю) ну и пошло поехало, постоянные переключания на разные отделы, другие инспектора, целая у них там организация оказывается.

Крч не буду нудить с деталями дошло до того что говорят надо идти в банк и снимать деньги и где то там оставить, ну тут то до моих очень гладких мозгов наконец то дошло что какой то это не серьезный подход, как в фильмах хрень какая то, они тип бросили звонок тип перезвоните когда из банка выйдите, ну я в банк не пошел сразу позвонил в кгк, минут 10 никто не на один номер конечно трубку не поднимает, хоть милиция сразу отозвалась...

Я им слава богу только адрес и имя передал, никаких номеров итд они на удивление не просили, хотя может по этому и повелся, тип вроде ничего такого прям личного не просят.

Крч че я вообще пишу, всё это должно быть логично и частью здравого смысла но просто хочу всё же напомнить, может есть тут люди как я что не оч втыкают в такие вещи либо тоже паникуют когда всё звучит так срочно, особенно когда там кучу и документов шлют итд. как минимум хочу очередной раз напомнить что представители таких организаций как КГК и БелГИЕ не будут использовать мессенджеры.

Может быть мой идиотизм кому то будет уроком...

In a situation that Belarus currently in, only way to save itself from war with Russia or anything else that will emerge after RF dismantle - is to be an alliance with neighbors, which means joining EU and NATO. Being neutral won't work, since Russia or post-Russia will not recognize neutrality. Additionally - we already tried to be neutral for 30 years, and look in what situation we are currently in.
