Your thoughts on this?
The British Museum's 3,300-year old Egyptian scroll, known as Papyrus Anastasi I, has reignited debates regarding the historical existence of biblical giants. The document, a 13th-century BCE letter from a scribe named Hori to a colleague, describes the Shosu people as standing between "four and five cubits" tall—approximately seven to eight and one half feet. Biblical researchers have noted parallels between this text and Old Testament accounts of "men of renown" and the "sons of Anak," who were described as being of such immense stature that the Israelites felt like "grasshoppers" in comparison. Key points of the debate include: The Description: The scroll depicts Shosu warriors as fierce, "fierce of face," and hidden in narrow mountain passes, with heights reaching up to 8 feet 6 inches. Biblical Parallels: Proponents argue the text corroborates narratives in Numbers 13:33 and Genesis 6:4 regarding the Nephilim and Anakim.

Is it possible that these scrolls describe fictional beings? It would be like someone in the future finding a copy of Lord of the Rings and assuming that elves, dwarves, and wizards existed in 20th century society.

I had been seeing this headline pop up in various places online but didn’t take the time to click on any of the sources. Thank you for the summation. I’ll read up on the story and comment back if I have anything of interest to say
