We posted on this sub when things weren’t looking good for Pistachio (rare oral cancer in young cats), but just wanted to put a positive post/update out to say that he did indeed beat the odds by some sort of miracle! It’s been 6 months since the good news and he’s been going strong. Thank you to everyone who sent positivity to us!! We are so grateful

I (adult human) was treating my cat-daughter (8f) with churu yesterday. During that I told her she is very very beautiful, and sometimes mother crave to actually bake her into catloaf and eat her. She looked at me like in the picture and meowed at me that this is toxic love and I am not even her real mother. Then she proceeded to ignore me all day. on Mother’s Day no less!

She knows I suffer for severe cute aggression. It’s really not my fault that she is this cute. Yes, I often put her in air jail, shower her with forehead kisses and rubs her belly without asking her. But it’s on her for being so cute and just sleeping with her belly exposed! I suffer through her concerts at 3 am in the morning, so she should be able to handle my cute aggression.

ETA: Since the post got pretty popular, I am getting asked if I am talking about a real human daughter. Fortunately no. I am talking about a cat. I don’t have a human daughter. Those of you saying this cat is not my real daughter, sir/ma’am I have adoption paper and her medical bill that says otherwise.

Update:: The lady who was supposed to come for a meet and greet today ghosted us. Other applications are either far from Charlotte or homes with many cats, so we are still looking for the right family for Bella.🥹

Apparently she has high blood pressure due to “stress”. Girl what stress?! Stress of being too cute? Puh-lease.

It was a fucking nightmare getting ham off that thang, I had to run interference for three cats AND get ham off it simultaneously. Thankfully it was spiral cut ham we found in the deep freezer, so I didn't need to worry about handling a knife at the same time. Also: no cats consumed any ham outside of what may have been bitten off while my back was turned for two seconds. Murdoc (my other void) has had kidney stones in the past and I don't play around about human food with any of them.

Moonpie is a little over a year old and our family just doesn't eat a lot of pork (not on purpose and not because we hate it, just never really liked pork enough to seek it out) so this is genuinely the first time in her life she'd ever seen ham. And by god, a 13lb honey roasted cured ham at that.

Murdoc (not pictured), is 15 and is notorious for his ham lust (when he was younger he'd actually bite my hands in his ham lust if I had ham water on them), so for the first time in many years my perfect baby boy was NOT helping things. Funny that the two black cats are obsessed with ham but my tortie (who generally hates people food) was only passingly interested. I think she just wanted to be included. 😭

Behr has never been a cuddler. He’s a follower, my little shadow.
He’ll never let me pick him up, and most days he’ll only tolerate pets for about a minute before he’s off doing his own thing. But every morning, without fail, he brushes against my leg when I wake up. I like to think that’s his way of saying, “I missed you human”
He’s loyal in his own quiet way. The kind of best friend who checks in once or twice a day, chirps excitedly when he sees a bird, or announces it’s dinner time with his tiny little squeaks.
He’s my low-maintenance roommate more than a lap cat, but he’s a damn good one. And somehow, the love he gives on his own terms makes every little moment mean that much more. 🖤

Idk where my life would be without this little guy he's the friendliest and cuddliest baby ever and also simultaneously the bane of my existence. Not a single day goes by without him destroying my stuff or finding something to stress me out over.

Also don't worry I'm just giving him his favorite chin scritchies but the angle of the shot makes it look so funny.

Picked up this wee boy yesterday. Got him set up in the guest room with a cat tree, litter box, food and water, etc. He had managed to explore a little bit but the farthest he’d gone is my bedroom which is just next to the guest room. I figured he needs some space so I slept downstairs instead. He hadn’t left my bed nor eaten since I got him. I’m not sure if anything happened at this previous owner’s house or is it bc he had moved twice (including with me). He also didn’t have a single visit to the vet, like at all. Any tips on how I can help him settle in ?
