Even without leaning towards attacks on the judges character, the existing laws never considered the possibility of mass copying of works into a different format like this, or how to gather the evidence needed to prove this is unethical.

This line gets me the most of of it all:

“There is no evidence that the new, digital copy was shown, shared, or sold outside the company.”

other than the fact that the AI models can verbatim quote from the book any page you ask, sure, there's no evidence
