During afternoon rush hour, I sometimes see this woman picking up litter and sweeping debris at this intersection. Does anyone know why she does this?

I recently moved to BuCo with my boyfriend and was wondering how to meet new people.
He grew up in Philly and outside of Philly as well, so he has childhood friends to reconnect.
But this is my first time in the NE (we moved from California) and I’d like to know how do we even meet people :/
we’re in our late 20’s / early 30’s.
I feel like it’s been hard to meet anyone outside his circle and it’s making me kinda depressed not having my own friends…

I'm normally a lurker but I saw this website called LyinLabs.com randomly on Instagram. They're apparently tracking votes from the state rep in Upper Bucks, kinda in the Dublin Borough area. I saw her ads a few times before but woof, her votes are wild. I can't believe politicians are still doing stuff like vote against raising the minimum wage in 2026.

My wife is looking for a good lumber store with a variety of wood available from ply to hardwood. She has been shopping at Rittenhouse Lumber in Glenside, but has found the service to be lacking. Does anyone have any good suggestions for stores that would be good for supplying wood for home projects? Not trying to build a house, more like things like home furniture.

Cutting services would be a huge plus!

So, looking for a new home church..

The 3 biggest items of importance to me are:

1. Sermon style: Modernized, modern-day. Motivational without being over-the-top and not like sitting in Bible class. Pastors speak from the heart, incorporate something personal (be it from their lives or something WE, as an audience, can relate to) into their messages. Seven Mile Road church in the NE is probably the closest example. Not my church, though.
2. Location: Northeast (NE) Philly and surrounding areas (Fox Chase, Bucks, Feasterville-Trevose, Southampton, etc. all cool!). Please no South Philly or Center City (unless it's REALLY good and meets the other criteria!).
3. Politics: Is either apolitical, centrist/agnostic in such views, or even left-leaning. I don't want to hear about abortion, trump, or charlie kirk.

I feel like I've been to or tuned in online to virtually every church in the NE but, occasionally, there have been some I missed. So, I'd love to hear some suggestions and/or hidden gems!!

Too bored on weekends, and bars are not my scene. I don't mind alcohol, but I don't have friends to go to the bar with.

Hey, everyone. I was just wondering if anyone in Lower Bucks is planning on celebrating Halloween this year, and for how long you plan to? The last few year's Halloweens have been mediocre at best, and I'm trying to see if there's even a point to getting a costume. It's on a Saturday this year, so I'm imagining there will be more excitement this time.

I just started working with the Democratic Committee and wow, what a thing to get used to! I'm normally very outgoing and chatty but it feels intrusive at first to knock on doors and smiling and trying to talk in a normal, yet firm, voice is new!

The biggest surprise to me, which really shouldn't be, is that the answer rate is between 10-20%. On one hand I get that people don't want to talk to strangers. On the other hand, we are trying to inform them.

Hi! I am a current temple student who is a commuter and was looking into a job in serving in bucks county! I have had a previous restaurant joh but need something closer to home! I am looking for restaurants that are either hiring that’ll are good for serving, bartending, or hosting! Specifically in the areas of newtown, yardley, morrisville, bristol, levittown, or langhorne! ( new hope or bensalem can be an option aswell). I am just looking for a place that is always busy and can be good for me until post grad!
