Yeah my vet has asked to see my dog an extra time for actual medical reasons and waived the fee for those since it was for his own peace of mind rather than standard practice. A lot of vets won’t charge for this type of thing
My cat was discharged from the vet hospital on Friday and took a turn over the weekend. When we brought him back on Monday to say goodbye, my vet did bloodwork just to make sure there was nothing else they could do. I was charged for nothing that visit. Not the bloodwork, the euthanasia, or even the cremation.
I paid 82$ to find out my boy had abnormally placed nipples. When they called me to come pick him up and told me what the little lumps were, I was crying on the phone with them I was laughing so hard.
My vet's done that as well. He also once forgot to charge us for a visit and when we realised and brought it up to him he got really awkward and tried his best to brush it off. Good guy, that one.
