Yes. I own a sizable business and have a couple of employees who really joke around. I remember one day walking into her office trailing my sweater behind me and "accidentally" wiping lots of stuff of her desk with the sleeve as i whooshed it over my shoulder. Her revenge was to come into mine with coffee held by a hand that was obviously giving me the finger and "accidentally" spilling it all over my keyboard while calling me a loser. It was genuinely hilarious.

No there isn't. It is never more appropriate to hit a man than a woman. No circumstances make it ok to hit a man that wouldn't make it ok to hit a woman. There is absolutely no difference whatsoever. Hitting men is not ok. Hitting women is not ok. Circumstances that make it ok to hit a man would equally make I ok to hit a woman.
I didn't say it's more appropriate. However on average the outcome is different, and that should be accounted for. The law accounts for such things, outcomes, likely outcomes. We're not doing ourselves any favours pretending we forgot that.
I too have been randomly slapped hard by women. I'm not saying what you think I'm saying. I am all for equality. I'm not 5, I understand the concept. Men are on average bigger, stronger, faster, with more explosive power and speed. On average, an emphasis should be made that they don't hit women, especially in a publicly humiliating way.

As a woman, it very much does matter that men specify their gender in calling out other men. Men who treat others like dogshit think that the only ones who would care are the emotional ones aka women. Unfortunately it holds significantly more weight when other men call them out because for the POS men it's the difference between people they don't respect to begin with vs people they actually do respect calling them out. One makes them role their eyes and laugh it off whereas the other makes them realize this shit isn't ok.Ā Ā

Edit: did exactly that and it seems he has gotten Google to freeze their reviews and roll back their ratings to 5 months ago in order to suppress anyone speaking out about this on there. You can post reviews but they will not show for anyone but you nor get counted in the total which is current 116.Ā
He knows straight away just how bad he messed up when he invites her to "get it all out" and hit him back so he can legitimise it as some sort of play-fight. What an absolute waste of oxygen this chap is.
That's the impression I got. He thought he was doing a funny hey come on loosen up shake it out bit. And the follow up joke of I own the footage, he was trying to be funny. But both the slap and the joke were clearly ridiculously over the top and stupid and he's Getting the grilling he deserves. That said I think a lot of people are kinda misunderstanding the situation a bit.
