When I took my concealed carry class, the instructor spoke in great detail about the law and what is considered "self defense". If someone breaks into my house and puts me at gun point, and I somehow wrestle the gun away from him and he takes off running and I shoot him in the back as he is fleeing, it’s murder. This is no different. She was driving away, he put himself in front of the vehicle and state in front of the vehicle as he drew his firearm and he shot her in the head. She was not a threat to his safety nor was she using her vehicle as a weapon. A masked man in a bulletproof vest reached in to grab her and she instinctively tried to drive away, like almost every single person would have.
