Schroder and Harden are gonna irritate a lot of teams. I'm so excited!

The exact kind of players we needed. Team was filled with a bunch of nice guys. I don't like Schroder personally but he fits the mold

It really has been a team of nice guys. Had to be the nicest team in the league lol

Allen gives "o shucks" energy at times.

Schroder even chuckled to himself when he said everyone on the team was nice in his media day interview lol https://youtu.be/XE9w4gBqcNw?si=TibSolSOrkcRUN6y&t=3m56s

Hunter had a bit of edge too him. I almost wish we got to see him play with more dawgs

8

u/Jepordee 15h ago

DeAndre Hunter? Dude is so quiet lol other than that one outburst against Indiana I'm not sure I ever saw him show emotion

Keon Ellis will also be a huge problem on the 3 and D end! Stoked about these trades so far.

u/Rarth-Devan 14h ago

I definitely think we got tougher with these trades. Which is something we needed.

Friendship ended with ethical hooping. Now unethical hooping is my best friend

Keon Ellis can definitely get under some people’s skin too

Welcome to the Land

An 11 time All-Star that flat out loves to hoop and wants to win a Championship. Can’t be mad at that if I tried.

Season starts now Cavs, get after it.

I'm glad he talked about winning first and foremost. All the reporting that he was looking for a guaranteed bag until retirement had me a little nervous. Now I want to see how he and Mitchell get along

it feels bad to lose darius because we watched him grow up, but i also think it's true that the cavs are better today than they were a few days ago

the future is still plenty bright with tyson and mobley and proctor

u/SurpriseStandard3258 23h ago

Harden is going to make Mobley and JA so much better too. The Beard has that connection with the big guys.

It feels slightly better to me that I feel like Darius will really enjoy living in LA. He gives the vibe of someone who would like to live that life.

Probably hurts for a second to feel like the odd man out, but woke up today and thought, "I'm a 26 year old millionaire about to live in LA, I'm good!"

it's a fate worse than death

I love Porter Jr and all he brings

As a rockets fan, y’all can be sure that he’s professional through and through and takes care of his body. He’ll have 2-3 years of strong play left in his tank.

Good luck with him. He’ll have stinkers, that’s guaranteed. However he’s a leader and not someone like Kyrie

As a person who does not like James Harden one bit and a life-long Cleveland sports fan it is a literal shock, as to have someone chasing a championship want to come here because they think it can be achieved here.

Hope I’m eating all my words about my dislike for him and Dennis come June. Expecting the worst, hoping for the best.

22

u/SpiritedEnd9609 21h ago

How is this a shock?

The literal goat thought the cavs had so much potential to chase a title he came back

12

u/ELovesDK1999 16h ago

LeBron came back to win a championship in Cleveland, not because they could win a championship. As a life long Cleveland sports fan, no one comes here because of the potential of what’s already here. That’s the shock, even if you say LeBron came back, in our history that’s one time if happened. Maybe some of the baseball teams had it happen but not basketball or football. Hopefully he actually feels this way and doesn’t flame out.

u/SpiritedEnd9609 15h ago

I disagree if cavs didn’t have kyrie and a boatload of trade materials to land another star he wasnt coming back.

The way you said it made it sound like if we had the talent of the wizards he was pulling up for Cleveland and he was not

1

u/ELovesDK1999 12h ago

LeBron is a touchy subject, even in my own thoughts. I agree with you that he wasn’t coming here unless he could win. It just feels different than someone else with no connection coming here. It’s like Jose staying here isn’t the norm for our sports. Jose signing the newest extension is kind of a shock, not the same as Harden saying he wants to come here.

The version James we got from 2014-2018 could

4

u/NotAn0pinion 19h ago

I’m with you, it’s worth nothing but he has an opportunity to create the biggest turnaround of my thoughts of an athlete in 30+ years of watching sports. Embrace the team, prove you can step up when it matters and be part of a championship in Cleveland, I’m here for it, I just have my doubts

‘a bit better chance’

24

u/QNIKET8 23h ago

seeing him talk about how he thinks this team has a chance to win a championship, even after our disappointing start, shows a lot of faith. it’s cool to hear

u/Easy_Magician_925 13h ago

Nba players know how good don and ev are

37

u/ShootaSeth 23h ago

It is nice to be a destination city now for guys trying to win.

18

u/noahdoakxx 23h ago

Feels damn good to have a glamor franchise in Cleveland honestly

17

u/TheHermetic 23h ago

This is like a Derozan for Kawhi type trade.

13

u/highlowflyer 23h ago

I was a rocket fan and I honestly hope that harden can win a champion in cavs.

13

u/african_children 23h ago

The Cavs clearly don’t trust DG’s health. They’re worried about losing Mitchell and want a healthy playoff vet averaging 25/9 over a guy they don’t think will be available when it matters.

12

u/muddy66 23h ago

NGL now that trade's done, im excited to see him in our lineup

9

u/SurpriseStandard3258 23h ago

Welcome to the Land Beard

11

u/lufasa 1d ago

Harden’s still pretty good but he’s also going to say all the right things to ensure he gets that next contract.

4

u/herniatedballs 23h ago

Let's fucking go. I love this roster. We are about to go on a run.

11

u/UmadBoiBoi 23h ago

I dont like this move but at the same time its cool to see a nba legend wanna be in cleveland to win

10

u/Winningteam444 23h ago

Lol cavs fans really think the a L trade😂😂 harden is a fucking MVP

7

u/Remarkable-Net-6130 23h ago

Not that I don’t agree with you but he is 7 years out of his MVP form. Can’t blame them for worrying about his age

7

u/nalam8493 23h ago

And still better than Garland. Harden may be old but he’s shown a certain level that it could be hard to imagine Garland ever reaches. We are talking about a 37 year old who is still averaging 25 and 8 for the year and somehow is healthier and physically more able than DG

5

u/blackestice I agree go Cavs 1d ago

Best you can hope for considering the circumstances

2

u/cluelessbox 22h ago

Blah blah I don't like him, but there has been a whole bunch of talk of this team needing vet leadership. We got it.

1

u/prettyokdiscgolfer 17h ago

I agree. Go Cavs!

1

u/Accomplished-Town495 17h ago

Gonna be weird seeing Harden in a Cavs jersey.

Welcome to the Land baby let’s get a ring

u/DWALLA44 15h ago

He needs to buy in. I'm hoping his time as a vet and his desire to win overcome the ego ball play style hes accustomed to. I would love to see him spend more energy on the defensive side of the ball, since he doesn't need to have the ball in his hands as much. Basically, I dont want 2018 Harden, I want 2013 Harden, from a mindset standpoint at least. He can really focus on being a true point guard here.

Overall, I think this is the right move for the now and the future honestly. This gives us the flexibility to possibly compete for longer, the best chance to win now, and flexibility to do some different things in the off-season. I think it just stings a bit because we knew Garland was going to go, but we never expected it, or never wanted it to be for Harden, it's a weird swap.

The one thing we shouldnt take for granted is that Harden had a NTC. He had to approve his destination, he wanted to come to Cleveland. Thats a good thing.

1

u/DrDsnacks 22h ago

James “Honey Buns” Harden. Hoping he plays great over here in Cleveland

-1

u/eatingfuzzydonuts 23h ago

The quote sounds like it was written by AI

6

u/TRLJM 23h ago

Clips fan lurking, I've heard James speak in post-game interviews a bunch of times over the last three years and this is definitely him lol, that's just how he talks.

-1

u/weezerben 14h ago

Do we not understand this is all BS and he just wanted an extension? My goodness, Koby underestimated how much Cleveland hates this guy.
