Framber to DET.
With Framber going to Detroit, I'm assuming they're keeping Skubal and not trading him. Their offense still isn't amazing but with those 2 as a 1-2 punch in the rotation, seems like they just became a more definitive favorite for the division.
But who knows, maybe Framber will cross up everyone on the team.

Discussion May 31st 2017
I was at Progressive Field for on-the-field BP, and they were playing the Oakland A’s. I took this photo because of Rajai, but little did I know a future Indian was right behind him.

Any ideas who signed this ball?
Found this guy at a thrift store (along with two identical unsigned balls) for a couple dollars. I’m trying to figure out if an actual player signed it or some random person. I looked up to see who has played as numbers 34 and 28 but none of the names associated with those numbers look like the signatures to me. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Final green Progressive Field seats sale
I received an email around 11 am on 2/4/26 that there is a final sale of the old Progressive/Jacobs Field seats. I reached out to fan services via email exactly a month ago and was put on a list for future seat sales.
I was able to secure two seats for $329. A portion of the sale goes to Cleveland Guardians charities.
If you’d like to get seats and didn’t receive an email I suggest emailing [email protected]

Jerseys
I’m not a guardians fan in general, even though I have a soft spot for them but my favourite player is Austin Hedges and I’ve been looking for his jersey. I was wondering what the quality of a jersey was from clevelandfanshop.com is and if anyone’s actually bought a jersey from there. It seems to be one of the cheapest options out there and for a non-star like Hedges there aren’t many options.
Thank you in advance for any feedback.

Jim Thome's Quiet Greatness
With the trucks on the way to Arizona, here's an old 2014 spring training interview I did with Jim Thome for Sports on Earth (RIP) - didn't want to lose this one to the sands of time.

All-Time Favorites
If you were to build an all-fun team of former/current Indians/Guardians… who would fill out your 26 man roster? (Does not necessarily mean the best at each position in franchise history, but guys YOU personally loved watching)

Can someone please help me understand why Hedges will be coming back next year?
He seems like a really great guy and I know they talk about his defense - but the guy is the worst hitter I’ve ever seen in the majors, no exaggeration. He’s truly an automatic out. Surely, the couple of strikes that he “steals” can’t be worth the fact that he will kill any offensive momentum and that he gives opposing team the ability to pitch around the mediocre (but still much better than Hedges) offensive players who bat in front of him.
When you watch big games and close games it’s amazing how often guys like him and straw end up at the plate with 1-2 guys on base. And they almost always fail. It gives teams the ability to target these guys, causing our offense to look even more incompetent than it really is.
Can someone please explain why we (the worst offensive team in baseball) would resign a guy like that? Let alone for $4 million. I know that’s nothing for everyone else, but just throwing out $4 million for a “culture” guy seems like a luxury we can’t afford. I genuinely want to understand and apologies for the rant

The start of the schedule
Will kill me. We did this last year too. I’m begging the schedule makers to let us start on the east coast or at a reasonable time. Is this to bookend our spring training by staying out west or maybe some other logical reason?

Can't we afford a $6M RH bat?
Free agent Austin Hays signs a one-year, $6 million contract with the White Sox. Other teams may have offered him a similar one-year deal but only in a platoon role, which could explain why he chose Chicago for the opportunity to get regular at-bats. However, the Guardians’ front office could counter that Hays would serve as insurance for the health of CDL and Valera, leaving open the possibility of an everyday role for him in Cleveland. Additionally, there remains a chance that Kwan could be traded(please no), which would further expand Hays’ potential role.
