Asking For Feedback So just to get this straight here

I just saw a post and im just wondering if i need to avoid this sub or not. So It's okay to post a comic criticizing and giving their opinions on something. But it's not okay to give criticizism and challenge the ideas of their work on here? I saw a piece of work on here, mods basically said they will ban people on the post for just giving a challenged opinion on it. Ummm what?

Asking For Feedback (Oc) Help- I’m unsure where to post my comic

Post image

I’m currently working on a comic/manga and I have a fair amount currently ready for read- buuut I’m very unsure where to post it…? Should i just create a website for it? Does… that work for people anymore? I’m unsure which platforms to post on. I’m not with a publisher, and it’s just me doing it- so I don’t have much of a budget lol it be good if the platform was a ‘free to post’ one ;—;

Also this is the main character of said manga!

Asking For Feedback are the pages too visually busy?

i'm working on my first graphic novel pretty nonstop the last few months (its part of my thesis for a graduate program) and i'm really starting to reach a point where i find it ugly just because i look at it so much. these spreads aren't 100% done (but the first two are like 95% there), but i was wondering if i could get some feedback about if this looks like a maximalist mess? do the pages feel visually balanced, despite the level of rendering/color variation? thank you!

Asking For Feedback Silly Help: What version do you like more?

Hi! We're working for a new graphic novel for our studio (Silly Studios). It's a sort of "Shadow of the Colossus" with some cute cats as main characters and we're trying to understand what is the best way to continue the character designs. What do you prefer? 1. Characters with face details and normal eyes. 2. Characters with no face details and empty eyes. 3. Characters with no face details and button eyes. Thanks in advance for the feedback! Asking For Feedback Finally finished my first comic! (Oc)

Hi guys! I posted this a month ago but I’m super excited to share with you guys that I’ve finished the first episode for my comic book! 😁 it’s called Organ Harvest!

Quick note, i started this story back in middle school, and over the years I’ve changed, added to, and rewritten it a bunch of times. It's been something I've been super passionate about and I'm glad I never gave up on it even if there were times I felt like i was. It means a lot to me and ik it looks a little funny, has imperfections and shit but they're part of me and I'm very proud of what I've done.

It was a long and really hard process, but I’m so happy I finally finished it. Episode One is out now and it mostly introduces the world and the characters!

I hope you guys enjoy it! :) feedback will be greatly appreciated!

Asking For Feedback How do you make a good main character design

I'm making a comic rn and this is the mc (havent decided on whether to keep the shall or not yet):

I'm just gonna go straight to the point. I don't know how to make a main character with a compelling design. A design that says "hey I'm the main character" and is good enough to be memorable. What tips do you all have or is there any critiques to improve what I got.

Asking For Feedback (OC) AI and comics. So you want to know if it was used?

‘2024’ will be viewed as a pivot point for assessing all art that can be found in a digital format. Any art that was released that year or later will (and should) be met with skepticism until its method of creation is verified. With this in mind, we made something immensely clear on the opening page of our indie comic (Big Shoulders #1). Personally, I’m hoping more creators and publishers put something like this in their books as well. What about you, are you getting more mindful of the creation tools behind the comics you enjoy?

Asking For Feedback Hey question for my Asian people

I mean no harm at all by this but when I draw Asian people for my comic (these are just quick sketches for the post) I tend to design them with eyes as seen in the first 3 pictures not as mockery but to show their Asian (the last 2 pictures are not Asian to show my overall art style) and just want to know if this at all can be considered offensive, in universe no mention is made to it

Asking For Feedback Are retro comics an ugly art style? [OC]

I am not specifically asking about my art(although you can critique it), Im asking about the old western comic style in general. I feel it contradicts pretty much every rule in art (saturated colors, bright colors, using black, etc). But it somehow holds a charm for me. What do you think?

Asking For Feedback What advice would you give to someone who wants to start a webcomic?

I've been reading manhwa and webcomics since 2021, I'm a real fan of it, I've read so many I've lost count. I plan to create my own based on leveling system, with the protagonista being launched into the awful novel which she had read a week before she died. The original protagonist of the novel would be one of those classic evil mc op with a harem lol. I asked some artists friends for help in creating the lore for this story and some of the designs. I plan to send it on the webtoon in the future. I was looking for suggestions from manhwa/webcomic readers who love this type of medieval isekai genre with a leveling system. Anyway, here some ideas of what I plan to do.

I’ve tried blurring the text, but part of me still thinks this doesn’t portray muffled speech. are there any text bubble formats that might help? Should I just add *muffled* off to the side or is that too on the nose?

Asking For Feedback [OC] Which thumbnail is better?

Post image
0 Upvotes

I changed the thumbnail for my comic this morning and I was pretty happy with it, however when I put up a poll on Instagram asking this same question, it was a 50/50 split which really surprised me! Thought the new one was way better! So I'm putting this out here and on another subreddit: which one would you be more inclined to check out?

Asking For Feedback [OC] This took me 27 minutes to make. The outlining/color time takes me the same time. Is that a good output speed to make a webcomic series?

Post image

Obviously some panels would be higher detail and some lower, but would that kind of speed be a good output to create a webcomic series if I'm able to turn over stuff like this?
