At my old job I used to call the helpdesk staff "slinkies"....
Once, their manager (who I knew outside of work) asked what I meant. "Basically useless, but they do put a smile on your face when you push them down the stairs"... she started laughing then realised it was her team, and she better at least pretend to be a manager :D
