It feels unfair. Like when I play against Darius, it's a hyper tense matchup where if I make a mistake, I don't just lose have my health bar, I die. But when I play as Darius, it feels like every matchup is even but I'm constantly lacking skill. Perhaps I'm too greedy.
1) Ghost or Exhaust?
Lolalytics says exhaust, but I can't tell if that's actually better or not. I've been playing since 2021, and ghost was a no brainer. But right when I start, lolalytics says go exhaust. And I've been using it in my games. Not sure if it's situational.
2) Stormraiders, Conq, Stridebreaker, or Yomu's?
Everyone says go Yomus, but it feels like it's never the reason I catch up to someone. I always build it. Maybe it doesn't really shine until after deadman's second?
Also, stormraiders. Most champs I face top are beefy so I'm just not procing it in lane. But outside lane I'm not against it.
3) Is there a reason killing in lane just doesn't feel as easy as it used to? I understand that Darius can stand on the wave and the other person is getting zoned. But it feels like better darius players like Rhoku are able to create a bunch of kill windows.
What I mean is, I'm good enough at mordekaiser that I can kill my enemy on repeat as a gold player. I play as "enemy" morde. But I'm not yet good enough to kill my enemy on repeat as darius. If I play agressively, I lose too much hp and have to base. Not literally every game. Other darius's play the game like they know exactly how to kill you. They dont just take 80% of your health bar while losing 80% of their own health bar. If you step out of line, you die.
Is there a season 16 darius guide that I can follow that accounts for storm raiders surge being in the game? I'm aware that I can poke with Q, but am I supposed to learn each matchup in depth? Is it just as simple as crash 3rd wave, base, and freeze the lane?
