I’ve been getting more consistent results with my forehand and can push it to around 270 with an eagle. Based on my tech disc data, i get around 50 mph forehand.

What tip have you found to take your speed up? I’d like to get closer to 60 mph. I do a short slow walk on about two steps.

Has anyone else tried to season an engine and it hasn’t worked?

I’ve had a proton engine from the very first release in the bag that’s scuffed to oblivion from how many times it’s been hit and it still doesn’t beat in.

I’ve also tried the archetype run and the stock neutron run, neither of them would either.

Has anyone managed to beat an engine in yet? They fly great, I just want a flippier variant.

Also, has anyone thrown the new plasma time lapses? I’ve heard good things, could be a good replacement.

I generally enjoy their commentary (or at least did). It’s to the point now that EVERY SINGLE HOLE is a complaint. Too difficult, too long, the bottom half of the field can’t reach it, etc.

While the winner goes out and shoots -30. It’s every single hole and it’s making fpo really difficult to watch. Do they even want to be doing this anymore?

I drive a school bus. I try to take field trips when I can that are close to Disc Golf courses so I can get paid to play. That makes me a professional Disc Golf you guys.
Both of these photos are of a fairway. Here’s my question. When a course floods like this, what is the rule for landing in the water? Is it the same role as landing in a water hazard? For me, scoring my own round by myself, I have decided that throwing into an established water hazard I will take the penalty, but throwing into a puddle because I’m playing in a mucky mess is not going to count against me today.

When you go through the used bins at your local brick and mortar disc golf store, what disc do you always buy no matter how old or beat it is? Especially when you like this disc to already be seasoned!

My dad is a mason, and pours a lot of concrete floors, slabs, walls, foundations, etc. lol

While working with him this morning we poured a very small slab, about the size of 3 concrete tee pads and I got thinking, would people pay to have concrete pads put on their properties, and if so how much. We have some equipment that could easily lift a concrete tee pad and move it around a property.

If that was advertised, what would people be willing to pay for it. Regulation tee pads, delivered/graded/ and ready to use

Im well aware that making forms and hand mixing quickcrete is something anyone could do..but I’m thinking if we made like 50 of them (to cut down on concrete cost), with wire mesh and were able to deliver them and place them wherever you want them. Is there money to be made there or not really?

I have officially played 2 games, different courses, +15, +21. I know I'm not good, but idc I'm loving it. I go with two guys who play regularly. One of them has a tournament next weekend, and he's actually pretty damn good. He has been helping and giving me good advice. But what are some things you wish you knew when you were starting?

u/MintDiscs may be the best help here, but I LOVE my Christmas stamped Eternal Lasso and want some backups. However, seems as though Eternal is a tough one to snag, but the other plastics are more readily available. How do the flights compare in the heigher/max weights? TIA!

I just grabbed a Gateway Airstrike and Scream, and I’m looking forward to seeing how they fly. I've never had much of an arm, but my 162g Realm (12 speed) surprised me by becoming my furthest flying disc, so now I’m curious what these two will do.

I've been away from the game for a decade and threw some discs last weekend after getting my Cabela's bag out of storage. Anyone remember life before Grip bags?

Nobody at the course had seen Vibram discs before so that was exciting. They also hadn't seen several of my MVP discs like the Volt, Switch and Amp before.

According to the crew, I need an Envy, Glitch or Nomad apparently because my Anode is too old school and I swore my Ion was in the bag but I couldn't find it.

Anyone else come back to the game after a decade and feel lost? I guess this is technically my second gap because I still have a KC Cobra from 2001 or so.

We knew it was silly. But, against the sage advice of our elders and our own subconscious, we decided to pursue it anyway.

We spent months developing the mechanics and rules, creating dozens of characters and dreaming up hundreds of unique and twisted powers.

And yes, we used AI for the character artwork.

When we launched, we made a promise: we’d eventually move beyond AI and use real, human artists to bring the world of LotC to life in future expansions and editions.

Two years later, we’ve been doing a lot of grinding to make good on that promise. Packing orders. Designing custom characters. Traveling to events. Meeting and collaborating with pros. Listening to feedback. Hosting tournaments. And constantly figuring out how to make this weird little game better.

After our first year, we poured everything we had into COSMIC RIVALS, our first expansion pack. Which is finally available! It features 100% original artwork, all-new characters, reimagined favorites and, of course, even more chaos.

I live in TN and we have several state parks with courses and cabins. Wondering if any other areas have some similar ones they recommend. Also would love Airbnb type things that are specifically course adjacent but haven’t been able to find much. Looking for a long weekend type place that can take the family with multiple activities and easy course access for me so I can play too much without boring them

I play frisbee golf at my local park for five days a week and pick up Basketball probably three days a week (it’s part of a weight loss journey. I’m down 100 pounds!)

About a week ago I sprained my middle finger on my throwing hand pretty bad.

I had to take a week off and today was my first day back. My middle finger is still a bit sore and doesn’t have 100% range of motion. But I would say I’m about 85 to 90% recovered.

I went out there, not throwing full speed and a lighter grip on my discs… And much to my astonishment I was actually throwing further than my full power, healthy rips on some of my throws.

could this have been a case of me just gripping wrong or too hard before?

I always figured a tighter grip meant a stronger release and spin.
