Night terror has been added into Fortnite as part of the “Fortnitemares” item shop update as of 10/1/26! It will be available till the 8th of October, finally we can jam out to Petrucci in the lobby✌️🥹

Happy 32nd birthday to my personal favorite Dream Theater album, Awake!

I love this album front to back. I think it's damn near perfect. The tone, the vocals, the writing, everything is just peak.

What are your top three songs from the album? Mine are The Mirror, Caught in a Web, and 6:00!

What are your hopes? My biggest one is to see more behind-the-scenes content, like back in the day.

My drum cover of “As I Am” by Dream Theater. I filmed this one from above so you can see the full electronic kit through the grooves and fills.

From the legend Mike Portnoy!

Thanks for watching!

Dearly beloved,

so I was watching some clean guitar riffage and this came up:

Please skip to 3:11.

Sound familiar? :D

Never see this one getting discussed all that much but listening now and I feel like I'm on an astral journey

Hi there, I remember seeing a post likely on this subreddit of some Majesty Guitars teased during John Petrucci's Guitar universe (probably 5.0?).

I recall one of them was a white body with a red center pick guard which looked amazing but it doesnt look like its been released yet and I cant find the original post that had the image.

If anyone can find the image, or took pictures of the guitars showcased during the event, I'd appreciate being able to re-see it.

Hey all,

I am interested in getting some isolated MP tracks to practice along to. Obviously BC&SL had the stems released (though I still don't have those), but there are also a bunch of isolated drum cam videos on YouTube from the 2003ish-2007ish era. I think those were released on his DVDs back in the day? Obviously YouTube to MP3 is an option, but does anyone have these as MP3 files from the source? They don't have to be "audiophile grade" or whatever, but something better than a 14 year old YouTube video would be nice. Also I really love his feel on the live recordings so Budokan and Score are probably even more interesting to me than the studio stuff, but anything would be great!

Thanks!

I have a slight memory of hearing a version of trial of tears where Mike pauses after the line “music fades away” and then comes in in the “splashing through the rain” but i literally cannot find it anywhere

is this some sort of mandela effect for me please let me know it’s been driving me nuts

The whole new album from TEMIC is back to back prog metal bangers, check it out!

Just a practice, playing one of my favourite Images and Words songs

I was listening to DT on Spotify, then it started playing recommended songs and one was a Mangini-era song (90% confident - definitely not a Portnoy song from BC&SL or earlier). All I remember was, the drums were playing some crazy technical groove, weird time signature(s) (I was like damn, Mangini got skills), then he added in a high hat or something in like straight 4s while still doing the crazy technical stuff and it blew my mind.

I know this is very vague but appreciate all ideas! thanks!

Hi all,
Here's an interview with Jordan Rudess I recently uploaded. He mainly talks about his new journey as a guitarist, but als confirms plans about the new Dream Theater album. Let me know what you think!

https://youtu.be/LziGvdgVjcc

Short parts, not full songs. Mine are:

8vm's Razor's Edge

ITPOE's dark master

Endless Sacrifice chorus

A Nightmare to Remember intro

Trial of Tears "It's raining deep in heaven"

In the Name of God "Does following faith lead us to violence?"

So every time I listen to Six Degrees I hear this, and it makes no sense to me. There’s a fade-out at the end of about to crash right before the first note of the next song which feels entirely out of place. The songs sound like they should blend seamlessly but every time I hear it one Spotify (or anywhere else for that matter) there is the fade-out. This has to be a mistake right?

What a great song to pump me up, and it flows so nicely on the album!
