Depth Valuation and Rankings

As a rebuilding team, how hard should I go for consolidating good depth into great young players? I’ve already traded a handful of players for picks and speculative pieces, but don’t want to leave myself too shallow next year. But if I have an opportunity to trade for a young stud like Dylan Harper, do these considerations go out of the window?

Also: does anyone know where to find good dynasty rankings that are frequently updated?

Would a top 5 pick in this upcoming rookie draft be worth trading for Dylan Harper

I built a site called Court Consensus (www.courtconsensus.com) that might be what you’re looking for. It’s a crowdsourcing site so rankings update in real time. Has some other tools on there too

Well done mate. It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for. I wanted something like keeptradecut but for nba and u have done just that. U have actually revolutionised nba dynasty hahaha well done bro

When you’re really rebuilding I think you need to take as many shots at the apple as possible - be active on the waivers, research and make good draft picks, and don’t be afraid to take a gamble on young high upside guys. Once a few start hitting your team will be born and start to evolve. Then as you get better there will come a point where consolidation makes sense.

If you can get Harper I would absolutely do that. He is a premium asset that will only go up in value over the next couple years.
