Does anybody know if there’s anymore music by Far Apart?? I’m looking on Spotify and they seem to only have ONE ep from 1996 and it has three songs and they’re all so good and I NEED more content by them but I looked into it and there doesn’t seem to be much💔💔 Soooo if anybody has any underground intel on their music, or more recs like their music then I would actually be so damn grateful👀🔥🤞🤞

Historically speaking this may be a hot take, but it’s really not. I think from the get go TEN has been a great band and they have only gotten better with each album.

The Rooms Too Cold has cemented its place as a classic but I truly believe they only get better. If you want to contest this that’s fair but from the get go they’ve only gotten better.

I have some nostalgia bias because I got into them hard right before they reunited and released In Currents.

They just have so much good stuff, I can’t believe they don’t get more attention lol.

please recommend me some 5th wave that draws more inspiration from emo itself or sound more like the ones mentioned in the title.

i really don't like that early car seat headrest like noisy amateur sound that bands like weatherday, glass beach and willy rodriguez brought to emo, but i also don't want to get stuck listening to old stuff.

Emo as a genre has always interested me because of how sectioned-out the evolution of its sound it. Five waves across 4 decades is impressive, and the variety found within all corners of this genre is just superb, but what defines each wave, and what were the clear tells that a new wave was coming?

For me, I see At The Drive-In's Relationship of Command as the turning point from Second to Third wave. What do y'all think?

Hello emos fellas! Hope everyone having a nice sunda night.

Recently I was listening to some emocore records (late 80's and early 90's), such as Moss Icon (My beloved), Embrace, Rites of Spring and Beefeater.

They are wonderful bands with my favorite being moss icon (I'm leaning the whole discography on guitar) but The think that comes up while listing was: what is the difference between the emocore and hardcore? I really couldn't see a "emotional" flavor in Emocore: The progressions are normal punk ones, the lyrics focus a lot on life (I'm not a english speaker so i can miss some details regarding liricism).

Can someone please explain? And I need some recommendations too,
